I've seen some people ask how the Noxus Portal in Arena is made, so here is how! It is using a stencil mask (very similar to a Photoshop Layer Mask) to hide geometry that is placed in front and behind it to fake a parallax effect. This video shows with and without the stencil enabled. The reflection layers are in the front, while the several flat environment layers are in the back.

Did you know that in Blender you can easily distribute objects along curves? ✨ 1. Press Shift+A to add a bezier curve 2. In the geometry nodes editor press 'New' 3. Press Shift+A to add 'Curve to Points' and 'Instance on Points' nodes 4. Drag the object you want to distribute from the outliner onto the geonode editor and connect the sockets 5. How annoying is it when you can't find a company's logo in SVG format? I use a quick hack in Figma that lets me easily change the logo's color to whatever I need. 1. Add a rectangle layer on top of the logo layer. 2. Right-click and create a mask for the logo layer. 3. Voilà.

I think I found the most intuitive Blender texturing add-on for artists who work with NPR models relying on hand-painting 🥹 This is “Paint System” and I found it really simple to use and navigate! It really feels like using PS/CSP in Blender ദ്ദി(ᵔᗜᵔ) Here’s a simple video showing how layers work (very simple clipping mask & alpha locking too), changing layer blend mode, and you can then bake the layers into 1 & export image! Opacity of each layer can also be adjusted with a slider like in PS/CSP but I forgot to show it hahah It also comes with 2 very nice brushes!! I know there are other add-ons for the same job or can do even more things but just wanted to share this since I found it the most intuitive as someone who hand paints textures a lot in other art programs and have non-existent knowledge over nodes in Blender ;-; Link to the add-on in replies and happy painting!!!! (ᗒ⩊ᗕ)⸝ި ʕᦏ⌎ (yes it’s free! with an option to donate to the creator to support them too)

ChatCut’s agent cuts 1 video into 5 editable clips. It asks what you want, checks before making edits, and gives you a timeline for every clip so you can keep tweaking. You can change the cut, add music, add motion graphics, and generate b-roll. Then export the videos, or export the XML and keep editing somewhere else.

Tested this concepting workflow. ▶️ Converting a level design image to a 3D asset gallery image ▶️ re-generating segmented subjects into separate high quality images. ▶️ using these images to generate the 3D meshes. First time using 'for loops' in ComfyUI, works great and the prompts are updated for every segment. I used the Nano Banana 2 API node in ComfyUI to generate the final high quality images. Those SAM3 nodes are crazy btw, just set some points and it creates a mask! For the 3D model generation I used the new Tripo Smart Mesh tool, which is fast! The output is not perfect yet. I think in a lot of cases not production ready right now but that depends on the input image and the goal as well. For pre-production / concepting phase it's perfect and for far distance meshes it’s fine. I’m sure these tools keep improving, curious what we can work with in 3-6 months. Minimal cleanup and scaling in Blender and tested the meshes in UEFN / Unreal Engine. After creating the ComfyUI workflow it took less than an hour to do everything.

We asked James Wang why Cerebras can run large models so quickly. His answer: Inference speed is mostly a memory problem. Instead of constantly pulling weights from external memory, Cerebras splits the model across multiple wafers and pipelines the layers together. “Inference is all about memory bandwidth.” “You don’t want to store weights external to the wafer, because the second it’s outside, it becomes much slower.” “We put the weights on the inside.” “The team built a new software stack that basically lets us split the models by layer and store them layer by layer across multiple wafers.” “That allows us to never have to read from external memory, and that’s what makes it so fast.” “For context, Claude is about 100 tokens per second.”

Now 50% of what was working is gone. So you prompt again. And again. Stuck in prompt doom loops, burning tokens every single time. The output is always a flat PNG, limiting what you can do with it.
