Compilation of Padres hitters taking strikes down the middle on the first pitch of a plate appearance. Xander and Crone make heavy appearances they could really benefit from ambushing 1st pitches more.

I think there needs to be a philosophical change in the org to be more aggressive

Have no real issue when the pitch is a slider or a curve, or that one 100mph one. But when I'm seeing low 90's upper 80's FBs/changes it's kind of maddening seeing it all compiled together. We'll hear they're being "selective" but nah this is just passive.

They’re going to keep getting those pitches too, until they start jumping on them.

They should be watching Tatis and taking notes. Dude swings at almost every first pitch he sees

makes me happy you noticed this as well man, it’s the best pitch they will see the whole ab and they just watch it go right down the middle, take Tatis first pitch HR as an example… we have to be way more aggressive at the box and enough with watching the damn ball

He’s only played half the season, but you know who doesn’t show up here a single time? (Also great to see Soto showing up less as time has gone on)
