I love this film and the soundtrack.

Conan’s legendary “What is best in life?” speech is 🔥 — but it’s not from Robert E. Howard’s original stories. It was written for the 1982 movie with Arnold. Still one of the greatest, most badass lines ever put on screen: “To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.” #ConanTheBarbarian

Great stuff right there.

44 years...

😭 Time waits for no barbarian.

Did you hear who they cast for the remake? Elliot Page. 👎

One of the first R rated movies I ever saw in a theater.

That's a strong start.

Crazy he had to lose muscle for this role. Crom!

We've all been there. 😵💫

@dougiefischer “To crush your enemies…see them driven before you …and hear the lamentation of their women!”

It was like Star Wars for fantasy movies at the time. If you aren't old enough to remember, you'll never understand the cultural impact it had when it came out.

Still one of the greatest openings of all time. Lays out everything about the character, his core motivations and the world he lives in within 90 seconds. If this scene was made today it would be Jada Pinkett telling Conan to trust his feelings or some shit.

🤣🤣🤣

My early morning exercises..😁

classic 🎥

I was a kid when I saw this classic and loved it. The hard part of getting older is realizing the betrayal.

absolutely unironically one of my favorite movies of all time

What is steel compared to the hand that wields it? The strength in your body, the desire in your heart, boy…I gave you this! Such a waste. Contemplate this on the tree of woe. Crucify him.

I was 13 when I saw it , I have seen it a few times

Still stands up. Just watched it again last week.

Such an incredible use of movement and music in this short sequence. He has just come back from near-death and is regaining his strength ahead of the showdown with his enemies.

In honor of this iconic movie releasing the same day I was born, I am going to have to go home and watch it to celebrate 🎉

all I will ever remember is "screw your freedom".

Just rewatched it a couple weeks ago. It still holds up and the cinematography is far better than most modern films. It has some pacing issues, but it’s a beautiful film overall. 8/10. Peak Arnie.

Basil Poledouris' score really made this movie a masterpiece 💪🎞️

There’s a certain demographic of 80’s kids who learned at a young age g age what is best in life. I’m glad I’m one of em.

CROM !!!

I've been waiting 44 years for King Conan.

Great to see the very beginnings of Darth Vader.......

Such a great soundtrack for a fantastic movie!

Some spaghetti western music there

A cult classic. And what a soundtrack.

Remake allready on it's way ! 😂
