A well-known former journalist informed AfriForum that two prominent South African journalists are currently being paid by the State Security Agency and the Department of International Relations to try to discredit AfriForum and the Solidarity Movement. AfriForum has consequently, in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), formally submitted requests to both government institutions to obtain information on which journalists, academics, and commentators are being paid by them to influence public opinion in line with the state’s directives.

Discharging a firearm in public is reckless and dangerous. This is not about being against Malema, but it's about public safety and the regulations of firearms. Every action has consequences.
