The Ogun State section of the Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway is rising fast from Agbara Junction inward to Ilaro, heading toward Abeokuta. About 30 kilometres have already been covered on the first carriageway with continuous reinforced concrete pavement, while work is actively ongoing on the second carriageway ahead of pavement construction. Pavement works have kicked off on the post–Lekki Deep Seaport stretch of Section Two on the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway. While earlier pavement activities were happening before the Lekki Free Trade Zone, construction is now actively ongoing from Kilometre 75 to 79, pushing steadily toward Ogun State. At the same time, other construction teams are working around the Dangote Refinery axis, progressing toward the full connection of the Lagos–Ogun section of the highway. This part of the project is located around Lekki Ancient Town, just before La Campagne Tropicana and after the Lekki Deep Seaport. 📌 New video on this section drops today at 3 PM (WAT) on my YouTube channel don’t miss it!

UPDATE ON SOKOTO-BADAGRY (LAGOS) ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Work is actively ongoing on the Sokoto–Badagry road project, with visible progress recorded on the Katami axis in Silami Local Government Area, extending toward the Kebbi State border. As part of the continuation of construction activities, contractors are currently placing Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP), marking a significant stage in the delivery of this strategic highway. The ongoing CRCP works demonstrate steady advancement from preparatory stages to permanent pavement construction, reflecting the commitment to delivering a durable and high-quality road that can withstand heavy traffic over time. This section remains busy with construction activities as the project continues to move forward. The Sokoto–Badagry road, when completed, will enhance connectivity, improve safety, and support economic growth by easing the movement of people and goods across states. Others slowed businesses and economic growth across one of Nigeria’s biggest industrial states. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi 3. Peter Obi Note: They NEVER kicked against the Sokoto-Badagry superhighway which is also ongoing.
