Appalling. The stress and money it's cost us normal little people 😒 rescheduled surgery and canx holiday money lost 😢 hubby in pain from 2 canx surgeries!!!! Fuming!!!!

Can you ask @stephenbarclay can we have minimum service levels for NON strike days where we have a properly staffed NHS that's also well resourced? Also can we have a minimum service level from the government which aims to solve issues rather than make them worse?

This year, around 40,000 doctors applied for just 10,000 training jobs. These are highly qualified, dedicated doctors who want to work in the NHS, but a broken system is pushing them into unemployment or out of the NHS altogether. That is why resident doctors are on strike and why we are re-balloting: to fix the jobs crisis, address pay erosion, and retain doctors in the NHS. Rather than engaging seriously with the The BMA, the Health Secretary has focused on rhetoric instead of solutions. What patients and doctors need now is a credible plan to train and retain the doctors the NHS so clearly needs.
