They’re standing on picket lines because this government does not care about patients or staff, only profit. Don’t be fooled #BBCQT

Then he should get his party to pay doctors better and stop handouts to their Tory pals and get the money back for billions in non-existent PPE.

Those doctors were on the front line of Covid. This MP was not the contempt and distain the government as treated these people as been abhorrent . Greed and arrogance will destroy the Conservative party.

His figures about doctors pay were totally misleading. Saying average consultant pay is 130k. That figure comes from a very few with clinical excellence awards on v high pay, and the vast majority on a hell of a lot lower.

Says someone who quite clearly can afford to go private. How much did he claim in expenses last year? How many weeks was he away from Parliament? #outoftouch

From the party who "let the bodies pile high in their thousands", suddenly caring about apparently excessive loss of life? Oh, the irony.

@kevinhollinrake You know the minimum number of doctors required on duty can we have that all the time please and not just on strike days. Talk about an own goal.

Couldn’t agree more!! It is an utter disagree that junior doctors and consultants are not at their workplace. Neither are poorly paid and are displaying nothing but greed in their current pay demands. The Government has already made a generous pay offer. #bbcqt
