As announced, KMC has started work on repairing its roads. There are a total of 106 roads in KMC’s domain & we will be rehabilitating those roads to ensure that there are no potholes & the traffic remains smooth. Video is of Sher Shah Suri Road where work has begun. Have given a time of 60 days to the KMC team to complete this task. Will keep everyone posted 🙏

Visited different streets of old city area where development work has been initiated by KMC. We are replacing sewerage lines & then reconstructing roads. People happy to see work being done & requested for work to be carried out at a fast pace without compromising its quality

City Council Karachi today passed the annual budget of KMC for the financial year 2026-2027. In the last 3 years, we have been able to introduce financial and institutional discipline leading to an increase in our revenue from Rs 1.1 Bllion in the year 2023 to Rs 6.5 Billion this year. All assets of KMC are being digitised, employee records have been placed on SAP and development schemes are going to be monitored through 3rd party consultants

#WATCH | On the issue of potholes on roads in Bengaluru, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar says, "We are there to sort out the problem. They (BJP) are there to do politics. Let them do whatever politics they want. But we are there. Today evening also my CM is conducting a meeting...No one wants to make a pothole. It is the vehicles, traffic and rain in Bengaluru city that has created a lot of potholes. We have repaired more than 7000 potholes. Still, there are more than 5000 potholes. We have asked the Police Commissioner to give us a report on wherever there are potholes..."

In order to address traffic congestion issues for people travelling towards Gulistan e Johar and also an alternate to Natha Khan bridge, KMC is working on an alternate route which I visited along with the KMC engineering team. KMC intends to have the matter approved soon & start work. We are also going to take up work on reconstructing the Pehalwan Goth Road from Safoora towards Habib University which will be a long term solution for the people who are currently facing a lot of difficulties #KarachiWorks

Initially 5 acres area is being developed & we will increase the acreage on periodic basis. Corporate, banks, organisations & civil society are more than welcome to join hands with KMC in creating an oxygen tank for the people of Karachi

Video is of the Do Talwaar “دو تلوار” monument. It looks nice doesn’t it ?

Work is being carried out on the storm water drain of Essa Nagri. One can see the issue of encroachments impeding access due to which rain & sewerage water enters the surrounding houses. KMC team has managed to find the outlet into Lyari Naddi which is being cleared now

#WATCH | Delhi CM Rekha Gupta says, "The work of dense Bitumin is being carried out on both sides of the ring road in a project worth Rs 12.5 crores. The work of repairing the ring road is underway. A two-layered work is underway from Madhuban Chowk to Mukarba Chowk so that in the coming times, potholes can be removed from the ring road. We have reached here for the inauguration of this work... Our aim is to make the entire ring road free of potholes before monsoon..."
