People are losing their minds over the idea of quantum computing breaking Bitcoin, but the panic is largely detached from reality. If you listen to Eric Yakes, the fear-mongering is completely off base. The theoretical threat relies on quantum computers factoring large prime numbers fast enough to crack current cryptography. To date, the largest number a quantum computer has successfully factored is 15. "Neven's Law" says quantum power grows at a doubly exponential rate. It's a projection people are using to raise money for their projects, rather than a measurement we are seeing in real life. Compare that to Moore's Law, which we actually watched happen in real time. While physical qubits are increasing and error rates are slowly declining, there is a massive technical hurdle: error rates scale exponentially with qubit count. Adding more power creates more "noise," making the machine harder to stabilize. "But institutional capital is worried!" That's fine. Institutional capital has been wrong about Bitcoin for a decade. If they're selling on quantum FUD, that's cheap sats for the rest of us. Bitcoin devs have been on this for years and are taking steps to mitigate the risk. BIP-360 was just merged into the Bitcoin GitHub repository and Chaincode Labs has published plenty of serious research. Bitcoin just took another brutal correction, down 50%, and no, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this movie. But something bigger is happening underneath the price action. Back in October when everything melted, Bitcoin got slaughtered and the rest of the market was wiped out, some coins down 80–90% and they never recovered. Why? Because institutions finally did the math and realized if you want 90% of the upside and volatility in crypto, you only need Bitcoin and Ethereum. Everything else is just poo poo coins, worthless, and they got dumped accordingly. I’m still long Bitcoin, but there’s a new concern floating around now, quantum computing. The idea that a quantum computer could eventually break the chain is making institutions hesitate, and until that gets resolved, don’t expect them to go beyond a 3% allocation. They’ll stay cautious, they’ll stay disciplined, and they’ll wait for clarity. That’s the reality.

California's primary elections are TODAY and they could be game changing. If Steve Hilton or Spencer Pratt advance, California and Los Angeles could finally have a chance to fix themselves. When you have people like "Entourage" creator Doug Ellin calling for change after his house got broken into, you’re starting to see a shift. A man who glorified the state through his show is now speaking out against the crime the establishment has allowed to exist. Even in a state that has perfected storytelling and image-making, the people are starting to see through the lies of “everything is fine." Reality always wins. Reality doesn’t have a publicist. It doesn't care about your narrative. The reality is that things are worse than they have ever been in California and it's affecting EVERYONE. So I do believe the tides are shifting. California just needs enough people who are fed up to go out and vote.
