Could this end up being more efficient than solar energy
32 条评论

Toyota did a similar thing on a boat that they built that runs on hydrogen, it made its own hydrogen from seawater by wind and solar, it sailed for 6 years supplying its own power & hydrogen

People been making these for ever, cutting a barrel in half and alternators. Its cheap and everywhere.

your innovation is a bit old for iranians !!

Try

Do not be tricked by this. Had a neighbor who bought these thinking it would save him a ton of money in the long run. Now he's pissed because it doesn't do nearly anything and are basically "super expensive lawn sculptures."

I do like this idea but in the right location such as near the ocean generally a constant breeze to actual wind. Even the idea of installing them where traffic generates wind and turbulence seems like an idea worth exploring

If you live in an area that has 15mph+ wind all day and night, then a few of those would be worth it.

On an overcast day with no wind. I lived on my boat for 10 years and had both. Also a small generator and if all else failed a 120amp alternator on the main 64horse Isuzu got things back on track. Dream on.

Interesting, but not useful tech. Maybe if you live at an extremely windy place it might be worth it, but then it will maybe break. It will not give you the money back in your lifetime generally, but I'm open to that it might be a good solution if done right. Might.

The noise and vibrations would be annoying and painful financially

I thought they were called savonious wind turbines

Found it👇

No.

I believe that with time, people will see that this is a better option compared to solar panels, which works only during the daytime!

Consider the constant noise and vibration.

Been around for ages

Yes it will end solar …check out @RegenTowerCorp if you interested to know more !!

No

The HOAs will not like it.

It's very interesting

Neat addition, but solar is still key 🔑 ☀️

It depends very much on location.

These things are great, especially when you put them alongside highways and in the medians.

Anytime you have moving parts, you'll end up with ongoing maintenance. Axial turbines are hard on the bearings and those are replacement items. Only in cases where you don't get good sunlight for most of year and there's plentiful wind do axial turbines make sense.

It seems like everywhere green energy is applied, utility bills go up.

if you are stupid and do not understand basic science... yes..

Pretty dope. I'd stick a couple around my property. I'm all for green energy.

absolutely not

What's the cost-benefit over, say, 3 years?

Nope it is not

So we now have a modern day version of the mobile?
