Simple test for gauging recovery and workout readiness: "How do you know when a muscle is ready to be challenged again?" "If you're training when you're really sore, it's probably not a great idea and it's a good indication that that muscle's not recovered." "When you start to see a drop-off of 10% or so, or even greater, of your grip output, you really should skip the gym that day." Jeff Cavaliere on Andrew D. Huberman, Ph.D.

This is the training that convinced Jonah Hill he could "annihilate" a stranger… ZERO resistance drilling. Someone recording, probably his mom, audibly reacting in total disbelief at his athletic ability Years of this and nobody's ever truly HUMBLED him in Jiu Jitsu The fix is EASY: Pause the one on one sessions, put him in a real gym. Let your best guys off the leash to continually smash him. Repeat until he stops saying dumb shit.

Draymond Green says Adam Silver’s comments prove just how much leverage LeBron James has “Adam Silver said the NBA schedule is on hold until LeBron makes a decision.” “If I know Bron well, that comment didn’t speed up his decision.” “If anything, it probably slowed it down.” “But what stood out to me wasn’t that.” “As a young player, I’d be thinking, ‘We have leverage.’” “You’ve never heard a commissioner make a statement like that.” “That statement is much bigger than, ‘LeBron, make a decision.’” “It shows the power players have.” “The NBA Players Association should be asking, ‘How can we use that leverage?’” “That statement is deep.” “And it’s much bigger than LeBron’s free agency.”

Mob Umamusume A: Hey, hey, Rulership and Trainer! Did you hear about the festival? They say it's happening at the nearby shrine starting this evening~♪ Rulership: ...A festival, you say? Rulership in her mind: Not bad. I'm not fond of crowded places, but it's a rare opportunity. Rulership in her mind: Besides... if I share a quintessential summer experience with Trainer, our relationship will surely become rock-solid. Rulership in her mind: Heh... perfect timing on that intel. Given this momentum, naturally...! ---------A FEW MOMENT LATER---------- Late at night, as I was working on my laptop, I noticed Rulership staring at me with a stern expression. Trainer: Huh, is something wrong? Rulership: No... I'm just concerned about you overworking. It'd be trouble if my right-hand man collapsed. Working non-stop since noon drops your efficiency anyway. You should really take a breather. Trainer: A breather, huh. Hmm, I suppose you're right... Rulership: (Hey, why isn't it clicking... don't tell me they forgot about the festival entirely?! Ugh, totally off my script...!) Rulership stares at me with a distinctly moody face. Suddenly, an idea hits me. Trainer: By any chance, were you looking for someone to play video games with? Rulership: That's not it... think more logically! Why can't you figure this out...! Trainer: W-Wait, what...!? Rulership: Look, earlier today... when we were training. Was there really nothing that caught your attention? Trainer: Training? It's not... an injury, is it? Rulership: ~ggggh...! Rulership: Heh... hahaha... What is this? Is this your character trait? Like 'immune to all hints unless shot directly from the front' or something? Trainer: ... Rulership: Aaaaaggh! Fine! F-E-S-T-I-V-A-L! The festival! I'm telling you I want to go! You idiot---!! Trainer: W-Wait, what?! Why all of a sudden...!? Rulership: W-What do you mean 'why'?! Do I need a reason...? Are you really only interested in my running or my gaming skills...? It doesn't even have to be the festival... I just wanted to make memories, you know? It's summer break before training camp...! Let's go together! Come on~! Stunned by her unexpected words, I was completely taken aback. I had assumed she had zero interest. If that's the case... Trainer: You should have just told me! Rulership: ...!

Kevin Garnett says he is open to working out with Victor Wembanyama in the summer: “One thing I want to speak on is Wemby’s development. If I’m him, I’m working on core strength.. I’m probably one of the strongest people you could ever run up on, and I look how I look, but when it came down to setting up on that block and then pitching and getting it off down there, yeah, I was the best at that. So I would love to work with big fella, but this generation has a preference on how they want to work out and I have to respect that.” #GoSpursGo #PorVida

.Sean Pendergast asked Nick Caserio if we can expect to see Tank Dell practice with the team. "Yes, I would say more than likely, it'll probably be in training camp...there's certain things that he's able to do. He's done some things on the field, maybe separately off to the side. I think the goal is training camp. So we'll see if he stays on schedule. But, nobody's worked harder, nobody's had a better attitude. Talking about a player that hasn't played football in, call it almost 18 months or however long it's been, but his attitude, his approach, he's chomping at the bit. And he's certainly anxious and wants to be out there. By the same token, we wanna make sure that we're taking care of him and doing the right things and put him in a position where he can go out there and be the best version of himself. So I would say training camp seems like a reasonable time frame in terms of his availability, in terms of next steps."

"There's an island off the coast of Venezuela, which kind of brings a new meaning to Pirates of the Caribbean. These are the terrorists of the Caribbean. It's called Margarita Island, and they have training camps. We know exactly where they are. This is all Congressional testimony, by the way, so you can read about this in Congressional testimony, which is wild to me that the media hasn't picked this up. But they are training Hezbollah terrorists on this island inside Venezuela, and in some cases, they're sending them back to Iran to get further on training. They come back to Venezuela, and then they get shipped out into the rest of South America, and then eventually on to the United States, assuming, probably. They are in the true definition, terrorists, and they're all benefiting off this drug money in the same way it's worked out in Afghanistan..." -Jason Buttrill

Jensen Huang on finally joining X in 2026: "That just shows you how introverted I am. It took me until 2026 to have the first post on X. I'm probably the last human on earth that did it." "But what I posted was too important to me, and too important to the industry, and too important to the world. And so I overcame my shyness and put my first thing out on X." Incredible how he built one of the most valuable companies on earth without ever posting once. What broke a lifetime of staying off the platform was a letter on open models he decided mattered enough to speak up for. Most of us post to be seen. Jensen waited until he had something worth saying.

Bob Lazar on why his MIT record doesn't exist: "I was sent there..." "If you're sent there for a specific reason, maybe to do some classified research or work" "It's going to be off the books." "Assuming I was working on a weapons system, that's always still covered under the security agreement. And at this point in my life, I just don't want to make any waves." "If you wanted to hire a guy who could think clearly, out of the box, and help solve problems, but who could be discredited if you needed to do that… Bob was probably the best person in the country at the time."

Jump! Go ahead and Jump! In the words of Van Haylen, if NSW transport minister Haylen won't jump, then Chris Minns must sack her. Just look at the other instances of disrespect to Australian taxpayers that are coming out. Trips to a friend's house on a Sunday (double time), dropping the kids off at sports on the weekend, amongst other things. If she has this much disdain for taxpayers' money, just imagine the decisions she makes in her transport portfolio. No wonder it's a mess. This says a lot about Chris Minns that he did not act immediately! If you live in NSW keep up the pressure on him today until he does the right thing.

Announcing The Forward Deployed Creatives Program A Comfy expert embedded with your team, building in your environment, training your people to own it. The FDC Program runs in four stages: → Validate. We prove the outcome against your own work, your own products, your own brand constraints. → Build. Once it holds up, we build inside your Comfy Enterprise environment, with your models and your assets, iterating until it's the workflow you actually wanted. → Enable. Bespoke training for your team, measured against one bar. Whether they can change the workflow, not whether they can click run. → Own. It's yours. The direct line stays open under your enterprise agreement, but the goal is that you rarely need it. If your team has a creative problem it's already half-solved but can't get into production, that's the conversation we want to have.

⚠️ Crimson Desert Warning 🔹It's best to complete one region in game before moving on to the next as the regions don't scale as you become more powerful. 🔹 The game may get too easy if you come back to region 1 after powering up a lot & that may turn you off. 🔹 There is no level up system in this games & you get powerful by unlocking skills & upgrading weapons. 🔹 On the other hand if you want to smash through enemies then rush through regions & come back to previous regions & sail easy!

New: Joe Rogan just spent the entire first hour of his episode with Mr. Beast designing a reality show where people will try to survive a real life zombie apocalypse for $10,000,000: ROGAN: “You can’t let the contestants sleep. They need tasks to do during the day so when the zombies come out at night they’re sleep deprived.” BEAST: “If I did that they would write 10 trillion articles about how I’m the most evil man on the planet. We’re held to different standards.” ROGAN: “You can’t read that stuff, just make the best show possible. If the people sleep they make no money. If they stay awake the prize pool increases. It’s important that they don’t sleep during this week.” BEAST: “😂😂😂 Oh my god. I can make this happen.” ROGAN: “Will these be slow zombies like The Walking Dead or zombies that can sprint like in Red Dead Redemption?” BEAST: “They’ll start off slow and then each day they’ll be allowed to go faster and faster.” ROGAN: “This show will be complete madness.” BEAST: “We could get this prize pool up to $10 million dollars. Everyone competing could be a millionaire in 9 days if they complete their tasks and survive.”

My contrarian take as a former reporter is that most startups don't *need* to be in a big financial publication like Bloomberg, WSJ - and probably shouldn't be. It may look nice on a pitch deck or get attention on social media for a day - but if it isn't your target audience, it won't provide real traction. As I shared on Apyx's podcast, it's so important to have the proper narrative-market fit. The best teams balance maximum reach with relevant reach and will hunt down distribution where their target users already are. At StrataMedia, we help teams shape their narratives and put them in front of the correct audiences that actually would engage with them and provide ROI. TLDR: Don't just go for big names. Strategize around targeting the right audiences and the best distribution for that.

A DNA test that tells you exactly how to train for muscle growth. That's the pitch behind a growing wave of direct-to-consumer genetic testing. I sat down with Mike Roberts, who actually went looking for that gene – not from a hunch or a short list of usual suspects, but by scanning the whole genome. Every one of the 20,000+ protein-coding genes, plus the non-coding regions most consumer tests don't touch. One gene came up: GLI3. Weakly. It's tied to satellite cell response, which is a genuinely interesting finding, but it came from about 109 people and hasn't been independently replicated. Even if it holds up, it explains under 10% of the variance in how people respond to training. Nobody running these tests wants you to do this math: if a genetic test is telling you how to optimize your training, you've probably wasted 96% of your money. The biology is real – satellite cells, response heterogeneity, genetics all matter. Taking one weak, unreplicated signal and building a personalized training plan around it is a different thing entirely. We're not there yet.

Yann LeCun -- Meta's chief AI scientist and a Turing Award winner -- explains why scaling up LLMs will never reach human-level AI, and names the four things today's systems still can't do: "If you think that we're going to get to human-level AI by just training on more data and scaling up LLMs, you're making a mistake." "If you're an investor and you invest in a company that told you we're going to get to human-level AI and PhD level by just training on more data and with a few tricks... that was probably not a good idea." "There are ideas about how to go forward and have systems that are capable of doing what every intelligent animal and human are capable of doing, and that current AI systems are not capable of doing." "Understanding the physical world, having persistent memory, and being able to reason and plan. Those are the four characteristics that need to be there." "That requires systems that can acquire common sense, that can learn from natural sensors like video, as opposed to just text." The entire market is priced on a straight line from bigger models to AGI. One of the people who invented deep learning is telling you the line doesn't reach -- and that the real bottleneck isn't compute, it's world models. If he's right, the winner isn't whoever stacks the most GPUs. It's whoever teaches a machine to learn from video the way a child does.

Before FIFA (EA) took over and monopolized the market, there were quite a lot of football (soccer) games. Some that come to mind: Kick Off, Emlyn Hughes International Soccer, Goal, MicroProse Soccer... and then, of course, probably the most popular one: Sensible World of Soccer from 1994. One of the many things that made it so popular were its controls. You didn't have to be a pro to keep the ball close to you, you could focus much more on passing and shooting. What some of the higher skill ceiling players would probably point out as a weakness, turned out to be what made Sensible World of Soccer the most successful among the home computer world - no other game sold more copies. None. It's one of the games I still load up when old friends come to visit and we nerd out on the Amiga. Sensible World of Soccer has a timeless quality and even over three decades later it still holds up.

🤯Larry Bird didn't just practice; he obsessed.. "It's Only a Half Day's Work" — Larry Bird's Psychotic Training Routine💥 Everyone remembers the trash talk, but no one remembers the 12-hour workdays. In this deep dive, we explore the relentless work ethic that turned a "hick from French Lick" into a global icon. Larry Bird didn't just practice; he obsessed. If he missed a shot in a game, he’d shoot that exact shot thousands of times until he couldn't miss again. But the most insane part? His perspective on labor. He viewed 12 hours in the gym as a "half-day," comparing himself to the hard-working blue-collar laborers in Indiana. He didn't just outplay you; he outworked you until you gave up.

Jordan Spieth and Sungjae Im shot a best-ball 57 on Friday. Spieth carded a 9-under 62 and is one behind Im and Kinsei Hirata. "I was hurting my head trying to figure out what our best ball was. "it was really fun. Sungjae got off to another really good start like he did yesterday. I was just kind of hanging behind those guys until we made the turn. I love playing golf with Sungjae, and I was hoping that we'd -- as we got to 7, I was like, all right, now I hope we don't play together because I'm up two or three on him, whatever, two on him. But you're feeding off each other, right? There's a lot of good golf going on. Chris ended up closing out really well too. "He hit one of the most beautiful -- that was one of the prettiest hole-in-ones I've ever seen. Prettier than any one I ever made. It's 222, and the wind is off the left to the left pin. There's only a few people that would land that left of it on purpose. He might be one of them."
