Dangerous Military Escalation and Systematic Attempts to Drag the Region into War Since dawn today, the areas of Deir Hafer, Maskanah, and Tishreen Dam have been witnessing continuous military escalation, amid an intense aggression carried out by Damascus factions, in parallel with escalating attacks by Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles ( Bayraktar) , which warns of increasing risks to the security of civilians and vital facilities in the region. During the early morning hours, Damascus government factions launched repeated attacks on the surroundings of Tishreen Dam, using suicide drones, artillery shells, and mortars. The number of attacks exceeded 12 strikes, which also targeted the villages of Al-Mahshiyah, Sheikh Hassan, and the villages of Qishlah. The shelling is still ongoing around the dam at the time of preparing this report. The Damascus factions also escalated their targeting of infrastructure and service facilities in the town of Deir Hafer, where the Deir Hafer Post Office building was shelled using artillery and suicide drones without casualties, while the civilian Deir Hafer bakery was targeted by a suicide drone, leading to the disruption of service and a direct threat to the population’s food security. These attacks were accompanied by clear attempts to paralyze daily life by targeting any movement in the area, including preventing farmers from accessing their lands and work, which negatively affected the civilians’ living conditions. On the ground, our forces repelled an infiltration attempt carried out by Damascus government factions on the axis of the village of Zubaidah in the southern countryside of Deir Hafer city. The attempt failed, and the attackers were forced to flee, despite it being carried out under the cover of drones and the use of machine guns. In parallel, the area witnessed intensive flights of Turkish (Bayraktar) drones, where a ( Bayraktar) Turkish drone targeted a military point belonging to our forces in the city of Maskanah without casualties، this being the second strike on the same day. Another point was also targeted in the village of Al Bu‘asi in the countryside of Tabqah. The Turkish drones( Bayraktar) continued to target the city of Maskanah for the fourth time since the start of the escalation, a clear indication of the rising pace of aerial attacks in the region. This simultaneous escalation since dawn today comes amid the continuation of military operations up to the present moment, which heightens expectations of an expansion of the scope of confrontations and their serious repercussions on civilians, infrastructure, and vital facilities. Heavy Israeli attacks on areas between Nabatieh and Nabatieh Fawqa continues: Artillery shelling and drone strikes are used. Despite this Nabatieh city has many of its residents returned to stay in their homes. The destruction in some of the eastern and southern parts is massive. In the second video, Israeli strikes on Mayfadoun town, nearby Nabatieh overlooking parts of Hujeir valley, lead to many civilian casualties. Artillery and drone strikes are trying to prevent people from returning. In the hospital today i met a man from Safa family from there with serious injuries in his hand, caused by artillery shelling. He was trying to check on his business. This means Israelis are insisting on occupying by fire areas even in North of Litani. We hope our resistance will respond to these terrorist attacks.

Situation on Aleppo, Raqqa & Hasakah [2/2/2026]: On 30 January, a definitive ceasefire was agreed following an agreement reached between the Syrian Transitional Government & the Syrian Democratic Forces for the gradual political and military integration of the SDF. Among the points agreed upon, it is worth noting the limited deployment of MOI forces on the "line of separation" between the SDF/YPG and the STG, which have withdrawn from much of the front line. There will also be a limited deployment of the MOI in the cities of Qamishli, Hasakah and Kobani, as well as at the Sweidiyeh oil wells and border posts. In exchange, the SDF will create four positions that will be incorporated into the Damascus military apparatus, both directly and indirectly, as well as decision-making powers for the SDF in the governorate of Hasakah, which could be considered a form of autonomy alongside the rights promised to the Kurds two weeks ago. During the early afternoon of today, MOI forces began their coordinated deployment with Asayish forces in Hasakah and Kobani for the time being.

The town of Ayn Issa remains under SDF control despite continuous assault and bombardment by the SNA. In the rest of the governorate, the SDF has withdrawn to Hasakah or continues to withdraw, and fighting continues in Raqqa. Following the uprising of tribal groups, the governorate capital was taken pending the arrival of the STG, which happened later. However, pockets of SDF resistance continue to skirmish with the militants while receiving support from Division 17 Army Base and other military outposts north of Raqqa. Local reports said around 40 civilian vehicles attempting to reach Kfar Roumman came under shelling and turned back.
