Damascus Continues Attacks Despite Ceasefire Agreement Despite the ceasefire agreement, Damascus-affiliated factions continue their attacks on Kobani and the al-Aqtan prison in Raqqa. Simultaneously with the shelling of al-Aqtan prison, which houses ISIS militants, these factions targeted the outskirts of the town of Sarrin and attacked the village of... Khrouss, south of Kobani, using heavy weapons and artillery. The entire southern and southwestern countryside of Kobani was also subjected to intense artillery shelling, which is ongoing at the time of this report. We are attaching to this statement videos published by accounts affiliated with these factions, documenting the artillery shelling they are carrying out against areas south of Kobani. This constitutes a violation of the ceasefire for the second consecutive day. Yesterday alone witnessed 22 violations committed by these factions, including attacks on Kobani, Hasakah, and al-Aqtan prison. In addition to the military attacks, Damascus continues its policy of collective punishment by cutting off water and electricity to the city of Kobani and preventing fuel deliveries amid harsh winter conditions. At the same time, it continues to cut off water to al-Aqtan prison in Raqqa, posing a direct threat to the lives of detainees and foreshadowing serious humanitarian consequences. We hold Damascus fully responsible for these ongoing violations and stress that the continued targeting of populated areas and sensitive facilities, including detention centers holding ISIS members, constitutes a grave threat to security and stability. Dangerous Military Escalation and Systematic Attempts to Drag the Region into War Since dawn today, the areas of Deir Hafer, Maskanah, and Tishreen Dam have been witnessing continuous military escalation, amid an intense aggression carried out by Damascus factions, in parallel with escalating attacks by Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles ( Bayraktar) , which warns of increasing risks to the security of civilians and vital facilities in the region. During the early morning hours, Damascus government factions launched repeated attacks on the surroundings of Tishreen Dam, using suicide drones, artillery shells, and mortars. The number of attacks exceeded 12 strikes, which also targeted the villages of Al-Mahshiyah, Sheikh Hassan, and the villages of Qishlah. The shelling is still ongoing around the dam at the time of preparing this report. The Damascus factions also escalated their targeting of infrastructure and service facilities in the town of Deir Hafer, where the Deir Hafer Post Office building was shelled using artillery and suicide drones without casualties, while the civilian Deir Hafer bakery was targeted by a suicide drone, leading to the disruption of service and a direct threat to the population’s food security. These attacks were accompanied by clear attempts to paralyze daily life by targeting any movement in the area, including preventing farmers from accessing their lands and work, which negatively affected the civilians’ living conditions. The Turkish drones( Bayraktar) continued to target the city of Maskanah for the fourth time since the start of the escalation, a clear indication of the rising pace of aerial attacks in the region. He was trying to check on his business. This means Israelis are insisting on occupying by fire areas even in North of Litani. We hope our resistance will respond to these terrorist attacks.

Situation on Aleppo, Raqqa & Hasakah [2/2/2026]: On 30 January, a definitive ceasefire was agreed following an agreement reached between the Syrian Transitional Government & the Syrian Democratic Forces for the gradual political and military integration of the SDF. Among the points agreed upon, it is worth noting the limited deployment of MOI forces on the "line of separation" between the SDF/YPG and the STG, which have withdrawn from much of the front line. There will also be a limited deployment of the MOI in the cities of Qamishli, Hasakah and Kobani, as well as at the Sweidiyeh oil wells and border posts. In exchange, the SDF will create four positions that will be incorporated into the Damascus military apparatus, both directly and indirectly, as well as decision-making powers for the SDF in the governorate of Hasakah, which could be considered a form of autonomy alongside the rights promised to the Kurds two weeks ago. During the early afternoon of today, MOI forces began their coordinated deployment with Asayish forces in Hasakah and Kobani for the time being.

In another breach of the ceasefire agreement, the IDF attempted to capture the strategic Ali al Taher Heights near the city of Nabatieh, southern Lebanon. Despite heavy airstrike and artillery cover, the Israeli armoured assault was repelled by Hezbollah fighters, who launched ATGM strikes and engaged in small-arms clashes.
