@jaketapper @DanaBashCNN @RepJayapal @RepJayapal deserves a hell of a lot more respect. Until independent journalists and reporters are allowed into Gaza by Israel we don't know what we don't know. Will keep negotiating.

@jaketapper @DanaBashCNN @RepJayapal I really couldn’t tell if I was watching an interview or a lobbying meeting. Dana was literally lobbying for the Israeli government on live tv. Rep Jayapal did really well and was courteous. Me, I would have asked Dana if she had a dog in the fight. Clearly she does

@jaketapper @DanaBashCNN @RepJayapal Dana, you fully know that Israel has broken all truces and ceasefires. F off with your harping on Hamas. Hamas isn't the one with tanks, warplanes, and American-made bombs. Dana Bash clearly loves the massacre of babies. I hope she enjoys karma too.

@DanaBashCNN @RepJayapal Bash asked the most important question. Who do you think is going to get rid of Hamas? @RepJayapal has no answer, just wishful thinking. Reminder Hamas broke the ceasefire by going back on their word (shocking) and by firing at Israel.

MY THOUGHTS: I agree, a ceasefire will benefit Hamas and may make it harder for Israel to eliminate the group. However, I don't think there is any scenario where Hamas will survive this war. In my opinion, their end is inevitable. With this in mind, Israel's goal is no longer simply 'eliminating Hamas', but instead 'eliminating Hamas with the least civilian casualties'. If a ceasefire allows more aid to arrive to those in need, allows people time to flee to the South, and maybe allows for camps be set up for the displaced, then a temporary ceasefire is the right thing to do.
