Arms companies from the United States and some European countries have already gotten involved in this process; others should do so as well. Production of Ukrainian weapons is faster and cheaper than Western weapons. Domestic weapons can be more innovative. They are immediately tested in real conditions. Production cycles are much shorter. For example, there are approximately 250 drone manufacturing companies in Ukraine, some of which are world leaders. Very true. Weapon production in Ukraine creates jobs and boosts local economy. It reduces dependency on foreign military aid. And the Ukraine-made weapons are not subject to Western approval of use inside Russia.

Ukraine can also produce them more cheaply than in the rest of Europe. After the war, Ukraine will become the power house of weapons production for the Europe and Western supporting countries. They have the experts, experience, and a dedicated workforce.

The most important reason wasn't mentioned. If weapons are purchased abroad there are often restrictions on there use. Not so if Ukraine manufactures them.

Israel not in UN or any international organization so Israel is now making its own rules and winning. Though in saying that Ukraine used to be self-sufficient before being conned into signing Budapest contract because it trusted USA etc to do the right thing if Russia invaded.
