Glen Jeffery, UCL: "In the kitchen I have got a halogen lamp. When you get up in the morning and you're spending that 45 minutes doing stuff — there's a halogen lamp there on at the right time." Halogen is a type of incandescent. Almost identical full spectrum output. Infrared included. The key difference: Halogen bulbs contain halogen gas that redeposits tungsten back onto the filament as it evaporates — longer lifespan, same full spectrum output. The result: longer lifespan than a standard incandescent, higher operating temperature, and slightly whiter light — but still full spectrum with significant infrared output. Like incandescents, halogen bulbs have been phased out and banned across much of Europe and the UK. But they can still be found — Amazon, specialist lighting suppliers, some hardware stores still carry stock. And if you can dim them: "If you just turn the power down — which increases the amount of infrared light — the bulb will last almost forever." Jeffery's team ran a study in a windowless UCL building under harsh LED lighting. They replaced desk lamps with 40W incandescent bulbs — not aimed at eyes, just supplementing the environment. #GMMTVFANDAY31 #JoongDunk #จุงดัง live ~ : not long ago the 2 of you released a photobook. in it you drove around played with goats and even did some archery right? so i’d like to ask if there were any fun stories or memorable moments during the photobook shoot that you’d like to share with everyone 🌞: let (Dunk) speak first 🌻: first of all this photobook comes about four to five years after our first one which is a very long time. i really enjoyed every single concept in this shoot. like you mentioned there were moments when we met goats and took photos with them scenes inside a car, archery sessions and many different concepts all packed into one day. i honestly enjoyed every moment of the experience 🌞as for me i have to say that the company was very thoughtful. they gave us the opportunity to share our ideas from the beginning .. asking what kind of concept we wanted .. what style of photos we wanted to shoot and what overall look and atmosphere we were aiming for. cause of that we had the chance to create mood boards and send the team our ideas regarding locations - outfits - concepts and other details so i feel that this is a photobook in which we were involved quite heavily throughout the creative process : …. and in the end “eyes on you” was completed and released. so Joong feels that this is a project in which he was deeply involved throughout the creative process. his level of participation in this work was exceptionally high 🌞that’s right. we hope everyone will enjoy and love this photobook

Did you know that in Blender you can have edge highlighting and ambient occlusion right in the regular 'Solid' shading mode? ✨ People were asking about my viewport shading settings, so here they are! 1. Press the small button on the top right of your viewport 2. Check 'Cavity', and set the type to 'Both'. World Space 'Valley' acts exactly like ambient occlusion. I like to disable the 'Ridge' here though, because inverted AO doesn't make sense to me visually 3. I also usually keep the 'Shadow' enabled for extra definition, but keep in mind that this is performance-heavy, and if you have millions of polys you may see stuttering 4. I also like to enable 'Backface Culling'. It's not uncommon to produce inverted geometry when you model. This setting allows me to see it immediately, and thanks to that, my geometry is always correct when I export it to Unity! 5.
