maybe make it friendlier for users who don't use projects? every thread says "no project" for me :(

Are you writing code in those threads? Do you go back to them often? How do you determine when one is "done"? T3 Code is very much optimized for "threads are meant to be closed", with a focus on landing code changes in real projects. "No Project" is hard to fit in this model

I'm talking about every thread saying "No project" since I generally don't start projects in T3. I just like spinning up quick threads.

For the pdf reader, hardware monitor, and yt perf tracker, when would you be "done" with those threads? If you wanted to make additional changes to them later, how would you do that? Search for the thread? IMO, these cases are things you should have used the "new project" flow for

Done -> probably never. I'll "settle" them, which I consider to be like archiving. I'll just keep going back to the thread. To find them later, I would just search for the thread. I'll try "new project" I just thought my use cases were too light weight to warrant a project.

I have like 100 projects lol, I think it's very nice to have. Something I really want to do is "convert to project" for no project threads that go too long

YES convert to project would be great. I don't think I took the time to fully understand what projects are and when to use them.

this is big downgrade, when you scan line by line before you can see number next to name without scanning left to right now you need to. no colors is ok but number should stay left

you guys are killing it with the design work 🤍

What happened to the iOS model picker? used to be so much more cleaner before

Theo, for pinned chats might I suggest making them more compact vertically? They have a lot of wasted room and when you have 10+ pinned chats you have to scroll. Maybe I’m doing it wrong

...why do you have 10+ pinned chats?

From my experience it keeps the chats in the same order so on desktop and phone they’re always in the same place. I don’t spawn new chats or anything I just have a fixed number of chats and they each have their own speciality Also huge props on T3, it’s the best piece of software I’ve ever used for AI. I do over 70B tokens/mo between Claude and codex and just switched to T3 completely today. Game changer

@theo You definitely want to be clearing chats (or starting new ones)- LLM's (from the beginning to today) degrade in out put quality the longer threads get and become exponentially more expensive for no ROI "Specialties" are the realm of Agents and Skills; I'd explore those

@theo Since opus 5.5 I haven’t noticed that happening anymore. I’ve had the same chats going from day 1 they don’t forget anything if you configure the memory right

Most of it is better but the shelves should be changed add back in the lines at least

This is a small thing but wish the chat/pr wasn't on the left side. Not sure if have a good suggestion on where it would go but the extra real estate would be nice.

I removed this twice and @jullerino kept putting it back there 😭😭

@MackSchmitz05 it is literlaly a stock jetpack compose NavigationRail idk what u want me to do if people dont like the android design why are they on android 🫣

@MackSchmitz05 i'll bring it up with the android folks in our discord to see what we can do

@theo No rush lol. Really is a very small thing just was curious if it was doable.

@theo Keep in mind the visualization tools are funky. They render with the previous version background. Only reason I'm not using the new design. Besides that, Opus cooked.

what about a tautology pass? Removing obvious & static information that is the same, yet repeated in every item. Ex: removing "Claude" from the start of every Anthropic model name. You already know it's a Claude model when clicking on the icon!

Nice

ok NOW it's clear I was trying so hard to figure out what changed from the screenshots and just couldn't notice lol

The design was really the only critique I had with T3 Code. Glad it finally got a refresh 🙌

day 22 and the announcement is a black slide. bold

No reset Theo?

It's so subtle but a clear improvement simultaneously

clean

much needed ui changes

Theo accomplished everything with T3 so he turned into an L3 designer at Google farming LinkedIn bullet points

I like the before shelves better

this is crazy good

Can we get reset too?

Keep going please. I hope icons get a refresh

looks like a big tech product now🙄

Quick suggestion: Working, Snoozed, Settle toggles could use the same hover effect as the threads in the sidebar.

i downloaded t3 code like a month ago because of the hype, i saw that insanely wide text box and those wide margins and i immediately uninstalled. I think now i might reinstall

It’s amazing. Now, save me from this fresh hell I find myself in and allow keybindings for “New Project”

Ok that's pretty clean, day 22 and still going

clean

changing the entire design on day twenty-two feels like the classic developer urge to rewrite css once the first feature finally compiles.

Thank god for the model picker changes. I liked the other design but was rough with a few models.

bro the redesign lands on the day you wanted to slow down and drop more at once, sounds like 1 a day was the dumb part not the drops

I swear every time the team posts something, its a Banger

I kinda liked the blue snoozed so i could differentiate the tabs quickly

day 22 of daily ships is wild.. how are you not burnt out?
