Day scholar speed zone alert!! Burnt Forest–Ainabkoi stretch, Eldoret–Nakuru Highway (A104/A8), Uasin Gishu County. We didn't notice this speed limit sign while heading to Eldoret with Kemboi’s Travels, but on our way back, we spotted it!

FSD 14.3.5 Down Under initial review Let me start right at the top by saying that in my 2.5 hour drive, I had 2 instances of a critical issue which I'm sad to say, in my opinion is a blocker to any wide roll-out of this build. The issue is shown in the clip below, which I'm calling the "Wiggle of Death". Half way through the roundabout you can see the steering wheel start wiggling from left to right as the car heads straight for the curb. Had I not intervened, it could have resulted in an impact. The other instance was the same behaviour, only towards a curb while turning right in a car park. Sorry guys, but it is what it is. It's what early access testing is for. On a more positive note, several major issues have been addressed in this build: FIXED: 🎉110km/h zones - they work perfectly now! Locked in at 115 in hurry, 112 in standard and 109 in chill. We don't talk about sloth on this account 😆 🎉 Follow distance / tailgating is resolved. Hurry now feels super comfortable and standard sits just a little further back again. 🎉 Lane changes were not a problem the entire drive. Every single one felt natural. I never really had many issues on 14.3.3 though tbh INCONCLUSIVE Speed sign recognition - I didn't have any instances today of it misreading a speed sign, however I didn't pass any 90 signs this time which have been most problematic on 14.3.3 - need more testing to confirm either way Exits on freeways - Didn't have any instances of it trying to take incorrect exits on freeways, though this had only happened a couple of times to me on 14.3.3 so need more data to confirm either way UNRESOLVED School zones - same issue occurred near my house where the car goes 40 regardless whether school zone is active or not and did not read the END SCHOOL ZONE sign to signal it to return to the speed limit. Didn't test during school zone hours though. Brake jabbing / hard braking due to indecisiveness at roundabouts - still had several occurrences of this tonight. Not particularly unsafe, but still uncomfortable. REGRESSION Noticed a couple of random slowdowns on the highway for no apparent reason. Nothing major, just strange. CONSLUSION A real shame about the Wiggle of Death, because other than that it's a really solid build and has fixed the major usability issues from 14.3.3. I'm hoping for a quick fix from the Tesla AI team. I logged lots of snapshots and some disengagements for them to review.

Sometimes young children’s “incorrect” answers can tell us as much about their growing knowledge as the “correct”ones. Check out this clever little guy, shared to TT by breanaterrymccool. Asked how fast he can run, he replies with an amazing answer: 45 pounds. Now take a moment to consider all the knowledge this response actually reflects. He knows he’s fast… really fast. So he chooses a big number. But is there more than random selection at play here? I can only speculate as to its specific selection, but it’s not lost on me that 45 is a number routinely posted on non-interstate roads as a speed limit in the US. We don’t know for sure whether this influenced his choice, but you’ll notice it’s not 47 or 68. It’s a round number he may well have been exposed to as an indicator of speed while traveling with his family. Then he needs a unit of measurement. In this case he selects the wrong one, but there’s also something very right about his guess. He knows that pounds is a term often used to help categorize quantity. Think of all the different units we use to measure speed, weight, height, volume, distance… there’s a lot to be learned, and despite his tender age, he’s already in the ballpark. We hiked in a torrential downpour this afternoon and it was awesome. But as we climbed into the forest, every once in awhile I would get this deep sense of foreboding. Like something bad could happen. And I realized that I felt this way each time that my wife was not hiking on front of me. I would keep turning around to check on her. Then I would wait for her to catchup and get back in front. And I realized that I’ve been doing this since I met her 38 years ago. Keeping an eye on her. And she’s a super capable human. Great common sense and she’s trained in Krav Maga. But my dude sense was on high alert. I did this with my kids as well. Can’t help it. You guys do this, too, yeah?

Uniformed armed personnel in green-plated SUVs allegedly rammed our vehicle on Murree Road today while driving at high speed. When we confronted them, around 15 uniformed men carrying AK-47s attempted to take our car keys and snatched our phones as we tried to film the incident. Yes, this is a National Highway. While heading towards Mumbai, it took us two hours to travel four kilometres between Royal Garden Resort and Fountain Hotel on NH48. On a Tuesday evening. With no religious festivals, no accidents, no extraordinary rains, nothing. This is simply the state of the highway and traffic every day. In the financial capital of the country. The road doesn't have potholes. The potholes have a road. Chandrayaan-3 will have a more stable landing on the moon than cars have on this patch. It is the same thing, every after year, for decades. Anyone who travels through this patch knows the nuisance that it causes everyone. The infamous Fountain Hotel - where you lose 2 hours of your life that you can never get back. Dear Nitin Gadkari ji, I appreciate your work. Once you are done attending conclaves, I request you to travel on this highway with your officers on any day of the week, at any time you choose, and just experience the torture that ordinary people go through on a daily basis. Precious cargo onboard! This was Arthi’s rescue ride to safety — he’s a small elephant, but it was a tight squeeze nonetheless. Arthi had been found alone by our pilot in the dense Tsavo bush back in August. At approximately one year old, the distressed baby faced starvation and predation without his herd. He actually enjoyed two rides in our aircraft - landing first at our Kaluku Neonate Nursery for an overnight pitstop, before boarding another flight to our Nairobi Nursery. We named him Arthi – a twist on the Athi River, near where he was found. Incredibly, Arthi's rescue would lead to not one, but two lives saved. On the way to collect him, our pilot spotted an adult bull with a severe limp. They made a note of his location, and following Arthi's rescue, they returned and successfully treated the bull. But back to Arthi...This sweet boy is the newest orphan to join our adoption program. Become one of his first adopters: #RescueRaiseReintegrate

Here’s my take ⤵️⤵️ For context — this is me cleaning 295 lbs at 167 lbs body weight and I credit my abilities in the weight room largely for helping my collegiate career flourish the way it did However… We can’t lift at the expense of speed training and development What that means is when we enter the weight room we can’t do so with blinders on acting as if the only thing in the world that matters is that weight training session or improving your 1RM YES… you need force to move your body through space YES… that force needs to be high relative to your body weight BUT… you must be a skilled mover to apply said force in the right positions, at the right times, with the right vectors for it to mean anything While important to holistic athletic development, we’ve got to stop acting like strength is the ultimate differentiator in speed Lot of “weak” athletes will blow your doors off in sprints Lot of “strong” athletes get folded in speed & power sports Go into the weight room with the idea that you’re complementing your speed and athletic development… not superseding it If your legs are so beaten and broken down from lifting heavy you can’t train for 2-3 days without excessive risk, you’re doing it all wrong. Just some perspective from someone who once pursued 1RMs to no end while my track times stagnated… and then was enlightened by world class coaches who lifted within the context of my sport to take me from a college tryout to D1 All American What’re your thoughts? "Goth kids shouldn't be raising a baby." That's what a teacher told us when Jack and I shared our plans. We were teenagers. Black clothes, loud music, eyeliner, big feelings. To some people, that meant we couldn't possibly be ready to love a child. But love doesn't come with a dress code. While everyone else was planning concerts and late nights, I kept reading stories about kids growing up in the system — especially children with Down syndrome who were labeled "hard to place." That phrase haunted me. Hard to place? Or just waiting for the right arms? The day we walked into the adoption center, they handed us a thin folder. "Needs extra support." "Developmental delays." "May be challenging." So many warnings. So little hope written between the lines. Then they brought him in Noah was small and quiet, sitting there like he was studying the whole world at once. He didn't cry. Didn't fuss. Just looked at us with wide, thoughtful eyes. And in that moment, everything felt clear. We didn't see "hard to place." We saw our son. We said yes. We grew up fast after that. Therapy appointments replaced hangouts. School meetings replaced sleep-ins. We learned medical terms, sign language basics, patience we didn't know we had, and a kind of love that reshapes your whole soul. Were we scared sometimes? Absolutely. Were we tired? Constantly. But we never doubted our yes. We showed up. Every appointment. Every IEP meeting. Every milestone — big or small. We cheered for first words, first steps, first time he wrote his name. And today... Today Noah walked across a stage, diploma in hand, smiling that same deep, thoughtful smile - only bigger now, brighter, proud. People once saw two goth teens and shook their heads. Now they see two parents standing, crying, clapping the loudest in the room. We were goth kids back then. We're his goth parents now. And our "hard to place" boy? He just graduated. We don’t always associate mobility with speed in sports performance, but early first round leader Aldrich Potgieter is a good example of how the two can be connected in the golf swing. The bigger the turn a player can make, the longer their “acceleration ramp,” giving them more time to apply force to the club before impact. One of the key physical capabilities we measure in rotational athletes is thoracic spine mobility, which we assess through our Seated Trunk Rotation Test. When he came to TPI, Aldrich tested as well as anyone on the PGA TOUR, demonstrating 65° of rotation to the right and 70° to the left. Our movement screen isn’t predictive of golf skill, but it does help us evaluate the key movement capabilities that underpin the golf swing. While it’s certainly not the only physical quality responsible for his prodigious speed, Aldrich’s exceptional range of motion allows him to make more than a 100° shoulder turn in his backswing, extending that ramp and giving him more time to accelerate the club.

The fourth edition of Ather Community Day is here! The idea behind these community days actually goes back to 2016. Back then, we were a startup without a product. We started Community Meetups as a way to tell our stories and, just as importantly, learn from our owners. Those conversations shaped not just how we talked about Ather, but what we built. As Ather grew, those meetups grew with us. In 2023, they became the first Ather Community Day with around 700 people. Last year, nearly 5,000 people joined us. While the scale changed, the purpose luckily hasn't. Community Day has always been where we share the thinking behind our products. The engineering decisions. The design trade offs. The details our teams spend months, and often years, obsessing over. Some of those stories might seem small. In 2024, we spent five minutes on stage talking about a storage box 🤯. Last year, we explained how we reinvented cruise control. Most product launches don't dwell on these details. Most product launches are not aimed at the customer at all. We do, because we believe they're what make the experience feel effortless. This year is a particularly important one for us. We'll unveil the first scooter built on our all new EL platform. Our biggest product launch yet. EL is our first all new vehicle platform since the original 450. We built it with a simple objective. Bring the Ather experience to a much larger audience without compromising on what makes an Ather, an Ather. It's our entry into the mass market scooter segment and the beginning of the next chapter for Ather. And EL is just one part of the story. We'll also share what's next across the Ather ecosystem and give everyone a closer look at some of the work happening inside our engineering and R&D teams.
