@StevenBartlett One deplatformed President at a time. One cancelled Doctor at a time. You cant have a conversation if you can just turn a persons ability to reach off, either.

@StevenBartlett Research by Pennycook (2018) reveals social media algorithms exploit cognitive biases that evolved for tribal survival. Our stone age brains weren't designed for viral misinformation - we need new digital literacy tools based on neuroscience.

@StevenBartlett That's because most don't know how to think correctly. Or, use a common state of principles to guide them. The world is stuck in a 10K year old narrative. Times have changed. We need to learn the new way. That is why this exists. 👇

@StevenBartlett Democracy: brought to you by centuries of debate, now undone by Aunt Linda's Facebook post. Sic semper tyrannis... via Wi-Fi.

Claude Rakisits highlights the EU's limited role in India-Pakistan tensions, noting its focus on Ukraine and Gaza, with trade primarily defining EU-India relations as of May 2025, reducing EU'S capacity to mediate in South Asia despite a recent attack in Kashmir escalating nuclear powers' conflict (DW, 2025-05-01). Trade drives the EU's relationship with India, its largest trading partner, but Turkey's alliance with Pakistan and the EU's complex ties with Turkey—amid issues like illegal migration to Europe (Wikipedia, 2025-04-29)—complicate EU'S diplomatic stance amid Turkey's friendly ties with Pakistan and its history of transferring jihadists from Idlib to regions like Pakhtunkhwa and Hindu Kush raise concerns about refugee influxes into Europe, a tactic Ankara has allegedly used for leverage. The EU's humanitarian efforts, such as allocating EUR 235 million for Syrian reconstruction (European Parliament, 2025-03-12), highlight its broader focus on global crises, diverting attention from South Asian conflicts. In Syria, Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa, president since January 2025, signed a March 2025 gas deal with Qatar to double electricity output, while German-funded medical partnerships aim to rebuild Syria's health sector amidst ongoing crises.

@StevenBartlett Misinformation is rampant on social media in Japan, distorting facts and enabling corruption. It is already influencing politics, shaking the very foundations of democracy. Now is the time for more people to recognize the gravity of this issue and take a stand.
