Together with Greenland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Vivian Motzfeldt, Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen visited a hydroelectric power plant located about 50 kilometres south of Nuuk. The power plant supplies electricity to the capital and is therefore considered critical infrastructure. At present, Danish soldiers are training to guard the facility as part of the Danish Armed Forces’ increased military presence in Greenland. During the visit, Troels Lund Poulsen and Vivian Motzfeldt thanked the soldiers for their service. —DR
