It was judgment day for Detective Helen Grus, after a four-year investigation and disciplinary tribunal. As a diligent detective, Grus used her discretion to look into a suspicious two- to three-fold surge in sudden infant deaths in Ottawa following the rollout of the modified RNA COVID-19 vaccines. She was ultimately sentenced to a 24-month demotion that comes with a significant salary loss. From first-class to second-class Constable, hearing officer Chris Renwick found her guilty of discreditable conduct for an “unauthorized probe clouded by her personal bias about vaccine injury or reactions” and improperly accessing the police records database. At the time of the probe, Grus was a detective in the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse unit, which is mandated by law to probe sudden deaths of children under five outside hospital settings.
