I'm curious to know how the new colors seen in the portraits are generated.

It's definitely worth blogging about; perhaps after we have a successful KickStarter campaign. You in particular will love it.

Character portraits look good! I gotta say, the main character's face looks like @Danno_Cal , it's kind of uncanny XD!

@Danno_Cal The main character (Jeku, short for Jekuthiel) is going to get an upgraded portrait soon as well. There's a long backlog of work to do on the art for this game.

Cool. I hope you will consider making a physical version for the NES as well 🙂

That's been the plan all along. We've already got our manufacturing lined up. There are also plans to release it for the Famicom(60-pin cartridge).

This looks insanely smooth. Can't wait.

Seriously, you could have told me this was a Genesis game and I wouldn't have debated you. What an amazing job squessing visuals like this out of the humble NES.

Thank you! The fact is, *yes* we have shed a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get the tech working properly...but the real driver of this quality is the lead artist, @Aitchess55. She set the style and quality for this game in early 2022. Fresh eyes and very skilled hands...

looking good! did y'all drop the multi-width font? or did i hallucinate that? 🤔

Not sure if you did or not, *unless* you're referring to an old tweet in which we showed a variable width font in our turn based combat design; that font has been dropped. We will be showing variable width font support in the dialogue system soon, though. Watch for that.
