Visual is really nice, battle is a tribute to old JRPG but it also battle lack a bit of dynamic, action and visual effects, when Jeku hit he could step ahead then strike. You could also add an indicator for the current acting character

Thanks for the constructive feedback. 1) Yes, we're working on character *movements* in the turn based battle engine. (inspired by Chrono Trigger) 2) The visual effects are coming soon. We needed to tweet yesterday and didn't have time. 3) There is an indicator; their name.

This continues to look incredible. Truly reaching the edge of the universe as far as what can be achieved with the NES.

Possible to make characters move in and slash the monster instead of Final Fantasy style where they stay where they at

One of the things we're working on is sequencing character movements across the screen so that they can run up and attack.

The game is still powered by fpga ? It was supposed to run on everdrive N8 pro iirc

Our dev version of the MXM-1 memory mapper runs on the EverDrive N8 Pro and that's how we test on NES hardware. We're also developing the PC port right now in C++ against the SDL2 library. The final production cartridge will be based on a *different* FPGA than the N8 Pro's.

If this is a NES game, I wanna play it!

It’s amazing that this works on NES

How is this even possible 🤯🤯🤯
