DreamCraft3D: Hierarchical 3D Generation with Bootstrapped Diffusion Prior paper page: present DreamCraft3D, a hierarchical 3D content generation method that produces high-fidelity and coherent 3D objects. We tackle the problem by leveraging a 2D reference image to guide the stages of geometry sculpting and texture boosting. A central focus of this work is to address the consistency issue that existing works encounter. To sculpt geometries that render coherently, we perform score distillation sampling via a view-dependent diffusion model. This 3D prior, alongside several training strategies, prioritizes the geometry consistency but compromises the texture fidelity. We further propose Bootstrapped Score Distillation to specifically boost the texture. We train a personalized diffusion model, Dreambooth, on the augmented renderings of the scene, imbuing it with 3D knowledge of the scene being optimized. The score distillation from this 3D-aware diffusion prior provides view-consistent guidance for the scene. The optimization is thus bootstrapped and leads to substantial texture boosting. With tailored 3D priors throughout the hierarchical generation, DreamCraft3D generates coherent 3D objects with photorealistic renderings, advancing the state-of-the-art in 3D content generation.

LayerPano3D Layered 3D Panorama for Hyper-Immersive Scene Generation discuss: 3D immersive scene generation is a challenging yet critical task in computer vision and graphics. A desired virtual 3D scene should 1) exhibit omnidirectional view consistency, and 2) allow for free exploration in complex scene hierarchies. Existing methods either rely on successive scene expansion via inpainting or employ panorama representation to represent large FOV scene environments. However, the generated scene suffers from semantic drift during expansion and is unable to handle occlusion among scene hierarchies. To tackle these challenges, we introduce LayerPano3D, a novel framework for full-view, explorable panoramic 3D scene generation from a single text prompt. Our key insight is to decompose a reference 2D panorama into multiple layers at different depth levels, where each layer reveals the unseen space from the reference views via diffusion prior. LayerPano3D comprises multiple dedicated designs: 1) we introduce a novel text-guided anchor view synthesis pipeline for high-quality, consistent panorama generation. 2) We pioneer the Layered 3D Panorama as underlying representation to manage complex scene hierarchies and lift it into 3D Gaussians to splat detailed 360-degree omnidirectional scenes with unconstrained viewing paths. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our framework generates state-of-the-art 3D panoramic scene in both full view consistency and immersive exploratory experience. We believe that LayerPano3D holds promise for advancing 3D panoramic scene creation with numerous applications.

HyperDreamer: Hyper-Realistic 3D Content Generation and Editing from a Single Image paper page: 3D content creation from a single image is a long-standing yet highly desirable task. Recent advances introduce 2D diffusion priors, yielding reasonable results. To address these challenges, we introduce HyperDreamer with several key designs and appealing properties: 1) Viewable: 360 degree mesh modeling with high-resolution textures enables the creation of visually compelling 3D models from a full range of observation points. 2) Renderable: Fine-grained semantic segmentation and data-driven priors are incorporated as guidance to learn reasonable albedo, roughness, and specular properties of the materials, enabling semantic-aware arbitrary material estimation. 3) Editable: For a generated model or their own data, users can interactively select any region via a few clicks and efficiently edit the texture with text-based guidance. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of HyperDreamer in modeling region-aware materials with high-resolution textures and enabling user-friendly editing. We believe that HyperDreamer holds promise for advancing 3D content creation and finding applications in various domains.

MAGS-SLAM: Monocular Multi-Agent Gaussian Splatting SLAM for Geometrically and Photometrically Consistent Reconstruction TL;DR: The first RGB-only multi-agent 3D Gaussian Splatting SLAM for collaborative photorealistic scene reconstruction. Contributions: (1) We propose the first monocular RGB-only multi-agent 3D Gaussian Splatting SLAM system. It integrates Gaussian front-ends, compact submap summaries, inter-agent verification, Sim(3) submap pose graph, and occupancy-aware fusion into a unified framework, achieving accurate tracking and photorealistic reconstruction without depth sensors. (2) We propose a Pose-Graph Bundle Adjustment (PGBA)-consistent Sim(3) loop closure mechanism for multi-agent systems, which jointly resolves intra- and inter-agent scale drift through a submap-level Sim(3) pose graph coupling geometric and photometric residuals. Robustness is ensured by a spatial-extent gate that rejects degenerate loops and an adaptive edge invalidation scheme consistent with evolving PGBA corrections. (3) We propose an occupancy-aware fusion framework for coherent multi-agent Gaussian maps. It combines occupancy-grid deduplication, decoupled coordinator, and joint pose-Gaussian photometric refinement to eliminate duplicated Gaussians, residual misalignment, and photometric seams across agents. (4) We introduce ReplicaMultiagent Plus dataset. While existing multi-agent datasets are typically limited to 2-3 agents with short trajectories, our dataset scales to 4 agents with long-horizon trajectories. In addition, we provide ground-truth geometry and semantic annotations, supporting the evaluation of monocular, RGB-D, and semantic multi-agent SLAM for collaborative dense reconstruction.

Magic123: One Image to High-Quality 3D Object Generation Using Both 2D and 3D Diffusion Priors paper page: present Magic123, a two-stage coarse-to-fine approach for high-quality, textured 3D meshes generation from a single unposed image in the wild using both2D and 3D priors. In the first stage, we optimize a neural radiance field to produce a coarse geometry. In the second stage, we adopt a memory-efficient differentiable mesh representation to yield a high-resolution mesh with a visually appealing texture. In both stages, the 3D content is learned through reference view supervision and novel views guided by a combination of 2D and 3D diffusion priors. We introduce a single trade-off parameter between the 2D and 3D priors to control exploration (more imaginative) and exploitation (more precise) of the generated geometry. Additionally, we employ textual inversion and monocular depth regularization to encourage consistent appearances across views and to prevent degenerate solutions, respectively. Magic123 demonstrates a significant improvement over previous image-to-3D techniques, as validated through extensive experiments on synthetic benchmarks and diverse real-world images.

In collaboration with Intel, our Depth Fusion showcases the power of our LDM3D diffusion model in generating 360° views from text prompts provided by the user. The LDM3D diffusion model generates a 2D RGB image and its corresponding relative depth map providing a complete RGBD representation corresponding to the text prompt. The LDM 3D model is a specialized version of the stable diffusion V 1.4 model that has been modified to fit both image and depth map data.The model was then fine tuned on a subset of the Laion400M data set - large scale image caption data set. The depth maps used to fine tune our model were generated by the DPTBeiT large 512 depth estimation model that provides highly accurate relative depth estimates for each pixel. We take the generated 2D RGB image and depth map and use them to compute a 360° projection using touchdesigner. Touchdesigner is a versatile platform that allows for the creation of immersive and interactive multimedia experiences. Our application harnesses the power of touchdesigner to bring the generated 360° views to life, providing users with a unique and engaging way to experience their text prompts, whether it’s a description of a tranquil forest, a noisy cityscape or a futuristic sci fi world. Blended-NeRF: Zero-Shot Object Generation and Blending in Existing Neural Radiance Fields paper page: Editing a local region or a specific object in a 3D scene represented by a NeRF is challenging, mainly due to the implicit nature of the scene representation. Consistently blending a new realistic object into the scene adds an additional level of difficulty. We present Blended-NeRF, a robust and flexible framework for editing a specific region of interest in an existing NeRF scene, based on text prompts or image patches, along with a 3D ROI box. Our method leverages a pretrained language-image model to steer the synthesis towards a user-provided text prompt or image patch, along with a 3D MLP model initialized on an existing NeRF scene to generate the object and blend it into a specified region in the original scene. We allow local editing by localizing a 3D ROI box in the input scene, and seamlessly blend the content synthesized inside the ROI with the existing scene using a novel volumetric blending technique. To obtain natural looking and view-consistent results, we leverage existing and new geometric priors and 3D augmentations for improving the visual fidelity of the final result. We test our framework both qualitatively and quantitatively on a variety of real 3D scenes and text prompts, demonstrating realistic multi-view consistent results with much flexibility and diversity compared to the baselines. Finally, we show the applicability of our framework for several 3D editing applications, including adding new objects to a scene, removing/replacing/altering existing objects, and texture conversion.

V3D Video Diffusion Models are Effective 3D Generators Automatic 3D generation has recently attracted widespread attention. Recent methods have greatly accelerated the generation speed, but usually produce less-detailed objects due to limited model capacity or 3D data. Motivated by recent advancements in video diffusion models, we introduce V3D, which leverages the world simulation capacity of pre-trained video diffusion models to facilitate 3D generation. To fully unleash the potential of video diffusion to perceive the 3D world, we further introduce geometrical consistency prior and extend the video diffusion model to a multi-view consistent 3D generator. Benefiting from this, the state-of-the-art video diffusion model could be fine-tuned to generate 360degree orbit frames surrounding an object given a single image. With our tailored reconstruction pipelines, we can generate high-quality meshes or 3D Gaussians within 3 minutes. Furthermore, our method can be extended to scene-level novel view synthesis, achieving precise control over the camera path with sparse input views. The robot’s “eyes” just received a big upgrade. LingBot-Depth 2.0, a depth-completion model with half the depth error just dropped. 12/16 benchmarks topped. Glass, mirrors, and transparent objects are so easy for us humans, but so hard for robots, because they do not behave like ordinary surfaces in a camera pipeline. A robot that misunderstands a balcony window or a table edge, will have a completely false planning inside a false world. Huge implecation. LingBot-Depth 2.0 takes an RGB image plus a broken depth map from a sensor and then outputs a cleaner depth map and a usable 3D point cloud. Numbers on LingBot-Depth 2.0 - Excels on glass, mirrors & transparent objects — where traditional depth cameras fail - Training data: 3M → 150M (50x scale-up) - 12 out of 16 first-place rankings on depth completion benchmarks - RMSE cut in half: 0.132 → 0.062 on the hardest indoor scenes LingBot-Vision trained on boundaries, because object edges carry the geometry robots need. No human boundary labels are used, which makes this approach easier to scale. The open-sourced LingBot-Vision is the general vision backbone, and LingBot-Depth 2.0 is the depth model built on it.

Alibaba presents MIMO Controllable Character Video Synthesis with Spatial Decomposed Modeling Character video synthesis aims to produce realistic videos of animatable characters within lifelike scenes. As a fundamental problem in the computer vision and graphics community, 3D works typically require multi-view captures for per-case training, which severely limits their applicability of modeling arbitrary characters in a short time. Recent 2D methods break this limitation via pre-trained diffusion models, but they struggle for pose generality and scene interaction. To this end, we propose MIMO, a novel framework which can not only synthesize character videos with controllable attributes (i.e., character, motion and scene) provided by simple user inputs, but also simultaneously achieve advanced scalability to arbitrary characters, generality to novel 3D motions, and applicability to interactive real-world scenes in a unified framework. The core idea is to encode the 2D video to compact spatial codes, considering the inherent 3D nature of video occurrence. Concretely, we lift the 2D frame pixels into 3D using monocular depth estimators, and decompose the video clip to three spatial components (i.e., main human, underlying scene, and floating occlusion) in hierarchical layers based on the 3D depth. These components are further encoded to canonical identity code, structured motion code and full scene code, which are utilized as control signals of synthesis process. The design of spatial decomposed modeling enables flexible user control, complex motion expression, as well as 3D-aware synthesis for scene interactions. Experimental results demonstrate effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.

Differentiable Blocks World: Qualitative 3D Decomposition by Rendering Primitives paper page: Given a set of calibrated images of a scene, we present an approach that produces a simple, compact, and actionable 3D world representation by means of 3D primitives. While many approaches focus on recovering high-fidelity 3D scenes, we focus on parsing a scene into mid-level 3D representations made of a small set of textured primitives. Such representations are interpretable, easy to manipulate and suited for physics-based simulations. Moreover, unlike existing primitive decomposition methods that rely on 3D input data, our approach operates directly on images through differentiable rendering. Specifically, we model primitives as textured superquadric meshes and optimize their parameters from scratch with an image rendering loss. We highlight the importance of modeling transparency for each primitive, which is critical for optimization and also enables handling varying numbers of primitives. We show that the resulting textured primitives faithfully reconstruct the input images and accurately model the visible 3D points, while providing amodal shape completions of unseen object regions. We compare our approach to the state of the art on diverse scenes from DTU, and demonstrate its robustness on real-life captures from BlendedMVS and Nerfstudio. We also showcase how our results can be used to effortlessly edit a scene or perform physical simulations.

Chinese robotics company Astribot released their latest World-Action Model (WAM), Lumo-2. Technical breakdown: - based on a frozen 🥶 Qwen-3.5 4B VLM - trained in 3 progressive stages: 1. Action is aligned with latent world dynamics (an abstract representation of action). Real-world actions are anchored to physical constraints, while the latent space is guided to focus on motion-relevant changes. This bidirectional relationship makes the model physically grounded -> critical for a world model. 2. Action is aligned with vision and language. Reusing the vision backbone and action encoder from the frozen VLM, the authors add a custom vocabulary (for new actions), a semantic module, an action decoder, and an action projector. This aligns the (new) action representations with the (existing) vision-language semantic space. Most importantly: it builds a direct mapping from natural-language instructions to motor execution. 3. End-to-end training on language, video, and robot data. Only the new modules (everything outside the frozen backbone) are trained end-to-end across temporal reasoning, physical understanding, long-horizon, and dexterous manipulation. At the end of the day, Lumo-2 is not the best on benchmarks, but that's not the point. What's genuinely new: - a way to combine latent world modeling and action generation through progressive alignment - a physically-grounded latent dynamics space - it lifts performance on unseen objects using un-annotated human egocentric video + Vision Pro captures, no special transfer algorithm needed Why it matters: - the whole model is thin trainable adapters (semantic module, action decoder/projector) on a frozen 4B backbone (cheap) - that scale is suited for real-time embedded inference (~2.71× decode speedup, no accuracy loss) - its real moat is long-horizon execution, where the added temporal memory pays off far more than on any other task As a result, this robot can now make your latte (5x sped up video):
