Sure but pushing ai code to production without a SWE reviewing is a really bad idea if you are a serious company

Hm. The problem is that non programmers don't know how to explain the problem, they don't see the problem, they don't grasp what they are looking at, and they look for shortcuts where none exist. When you talk about a topic with an llm as a layperson, the answers are very likely to be diluted as well. Even llms know this, which is why there is a flood of mvps rather than finished products.

If it was so then non-technical managers would be super successful in tech companies. Everyone knows its not the case

Knowing less code can actually help founders focus on product thinking

A vibe coder will never know enough about a given language to understand what needs to be fixed about it. That will be very bad news for software long-term

I disagree, if you give AI a task like - build a CRUD API with a database - it's not going to off and work out the most advanced implementation. Try it. It gives you what it analyses you expect. There is no amazing product feature in Coding that doesn't require it being code.

knowing too much about how it “should” work is a tax. the people who win just keep shipping until it works

when the goal is solving problems, product intuition outpaces raw code

software is product management once the code gets written for you, that's the shift DHH means. knowing the customer and deciding what ships is the scarce skill now. i work with non technical entrepreneurs on exactly that, turning AI into business actions without them writing code

AI is lowering the value of knowing every programming detail while increasing the value of taste and product judgment.

creative systems thinkers and architect types are the ones who will build the most powerful software ever.

"Software is product management" is the reframe that actually matters here. Knowing exactly what to build and why turns out to matter more than knowing how, once the how gets automated.

Knowing less can help you stay ruthless about what actually needs to exist. But there's a floor: you still need enough technical judgment to catch the AI when it confidently builds the wrong thing. Product sense picks the destination, code knowledge tells you when you're lost.
