The liquid that was pumped through the head for Spasms was dry cleaning fluid (trichloroethylene). It causes the foam latex to swell and distort many times its original size. Once it evaporates, the foam head returns to its original shape.

I had to relook up the warden from The Story of Ricky Oh because I thought the first one looked very similar… turns out I just have a bad memory 😝
