did an FPS comparison before & after the new Borderlands 4 Performance Patch and I'm VERY pleasantly surprised weirdly my performance with Frame Gen ON didn't improve at all (?!) but with Frame Gen OFF, my frames were MUCH more stable at 60fps in 1440p W patch!! more of this!

I tested out Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing turned on with RX 9070 XT now that FSR Redstone is out. By using the new FSR Redstone and FSR ML Based Frame-Gen, the game reaches up to 130FPS in 1440p with FSR set to Performance Mode. The performance gains are not that much higher compared to the previous versions of FSR but the image quality got a huge upgrade, especially when using Frame-Gen. This ML based Frame Gen is much better than the previous version as it gets rid of most artifacts and ghosting caused by the previous version. If for some reason you always wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing turned on on an AMD GPU, now you can enjoy a playable experience with 100+ FPS on an RX 9070 XT. I still don't recommend it though as the frame pacing and input lag still feels off for me, I'd just rather play this without Frame Gen and Path Tracing. I'm going to test out Black Myth: Wukong next

Monster Hunter Wilds big performance patch is out on PC. I spoke with the user who originally discovered the DLC bug and they confirmed that it seems to be fixed. More improvements I noticed from some quick testing (continued): • Better 1% lows for smoother gameplay with less hitching and stutter • Lower VRAM usage (10+ GB -> 7.5GB) • Higher FPS in some cases • CPU optimizations • High res texture pack is actually usable now • Lowered the install size by 45GB with texture pack • Some users report that their new frame rate WITHOUT FG = old frame rate WITH FG • More graphics options to tweak Overall, this update seems to have done the trick. Still not 100% perfect but MUCH better than it was before. The recent Steam reviews have also been very positive so it seems that most agree. Another patch is coming in February with even more optimizations for both PC and console. Settings and PC specs at the end - this was the default recommended settings at 4K DLSS Performance, Frame Gen off, 16x AF (roughly the High preset). Finally, Capcom didn't credit anyone in the Patch Notes so shoutout to de_Tylmarande for originally bringing the DLC bug to people's attention. #MonsterHunter #MonsterHunterWilds

Can confirm. The patch significantly reduced CPU load The game is actually playable on the ROG Xbox Ally X at mostly 60FPS now (left) I also tested the game on my work machine (i7-8700K & GTX 1080) While I could lower the settings, the FPS is more stable than before (right)

Patch 1.0.4 for #AssassinsCreed Black Flag Resynced has just been released, and it fixes the 30 FPS cutscene bug when using custom graphics settings. Unfortunately, the incorrect scaling issue in Balanced and Performance modes still hasn’t been addressed. Performance-wise, I didn't notice any difference between the launch version and this patch, either with Max settings or my Optimized RT settings. That’s pretty much expected, considering the game has only just been released.

No tricks, this video doesn't use frame gen, just pure engine, lighting and texture adjustments to get things to run way better with no visual quality loss :)

Batman Arkham Knight is locked at 30 fps/1080p on consoles, with no next‑gen patch in sight, which is a bummer. It was the 2nd game I finished on PS4. On PC the 4K, max settings, higher fps & PhysX make it look like a new game. Can’t wait to replay it once my backlog shrinks.

Another day, another odd and old-school technical issue in #Nioh3. This game doesn’t just expect the frame rate to hit its FPS cap to work properly, it also wants the FPS to line up with the display refresh rate. Using the 60 fps cap at 120Hz (or higher) can result in lots of frame-time spikes and microstuttering. the only way to avoid this is to switch the refresh rate to 60 Hz, which gives a much smoother frame time graph. Frame Generation on top of a 60 FPS base at 120 Hz works flawlessly without any frame time issues.

Samson PC Performance test on RX 9070 XT, Ryzen 7 9800X3D with 32GB of RAM. I've set the settings everything on Ultra running at output resolution of 4K with FSR is set to quality and frame-gen is turned off. There are frametime issues and performance dips that I've honestly expected as this is an Unreal Engine 5 game, the AA implementation is also not that good either as the game looks a little bit blurry

Cant recall if i've complained before, but It's sad that all I have to do to get MHGU in 60 FPS on a Switch 1 in handheld mode is turn on a cheat code. Took vid with my phone since switch still captures at 30fps. Come on capcom, 60FPS GU Patch for Switch 2 is a no-brainer.

We've improved how GEN-1 learns to adapt to new actuators and new robots at the lowest level, with up to 10-20x gains on internal benchmarks.
