USDCx is issued directly through Circle's xReserve infrastructure and it is backed 1:1 by USDC. We should understand why this is such a big deal. The real macro significance is the institutional access argument...institutions typically won't deploy capital on-chain without a trusted, redeemable stablecoin. So this was a huge problem for Cardano. That blocker is now removed! Whether that actually attracts institutional capital is the question that gets answered over the next few months into the new cycle.
