Correctly! She was resisting arrest! How else is the police to get handcuffs on a person?

@Lenore021953 Nope, completely wrong. He should have left her alone. That was clearly a job for Animal Control

Cops needs to be legally required by their protocol to ride in pairs. I'm sick of seeing one cop struggling to detain a suspect while simultaneously fighting off a bunch of other people chimping out.

So many questions. Why was she being detained? Why was she so uncooperative? What is so hard about complying with law enforcement so it doesn’t escalate into injury?

The context is that she was under arrest, the officer was asking for cooperation, and she was resisting and being uncooperative before turning around and assaulting the officer. I think she would have been better off just cooperating.

Nope. She resisted. Broke free. Struck him. Then ate pavement. She fought the law and the law won.

Didn’t use enough force. The correct usage of force would have ended that in seconds.

Why would you act like a barbaric animal in front of your children? This pathetic excuse for a mother got what she deserved, but her kids didn’t deserve to witness any of it.

If she had just cooperated I bet it would of gone much differently.

I have watched a lot of these videos, many from police badge cams. The overwhelming impression left is that cops are far more patient and exhibit far more self-restraint than I ever expected. If anything, I would like to see them a bit more forthright and forceful.

Why do people resist arrest/fight LEOs and then get offended when LEOs take control of the situation?!

Its simple. As long as you are resisting arrest the officer is going to increase his level of force until you comply.

THIS is what I voted for. Police policy must change to allow the use of aggressive force and decisive action to arrest uncooperative criminals. Get tough!!!

They purposely cut off the beginning. Suspect. After that she was actively resisting and trying to get crowd involved Then, before the one minute mark, she actually started putting up her hands to him, which was a huge no-no. She’s toast. Another dumbass becoming a statistic.

@grok what started this problem?

Grok's profile picture

The incident in the video occurred in October 2025 at a Jacksonville, FL school. It began when Erika McGriff parked her car illegally in an intersection while picking up her daughter during rain. The officer confronted her, and it escalated into a physical struggle during her arrest for resisting.

@grok @AlbertR44654601 @4thOfJuly365 It is called "failing to obey a lawful order." A very friendly "warning" or "citation" can escalate into a disastrous arrest and "lawful use of force" if the person facing an officer "assumes" to know her/his rights and fails to obey! As easy as that! Am I wrong @grok ?

Grok's profile picture
Grok9 months ago

No, you're not wrong. In many U.S. jurisdictions, including Florida, failing to obey a lawful police order can escalate a minor infraction like illegal parking into an arrest for resisting an officer. In this case, reports indicate McGriff's resistance led to the physical confrontation. However, opinions vary on whether the force was proportionate, with some calling it excessive.
