That is the only thing that those law enforcement officers can do at that point. Nothing else. There are hundreds of protesters there. If they attempt to get out of the vehicle, they will be mobbed. If they stop the vehicle, they will obviously be mobbed. They have to just keep driving. They literally have no other choice.

They ignored the order to back up, so the agents had to push them off the arrest. Of course one of them called the agents Nazis. Pepper spray was justified the second he closed that gap.
