Did you know the Sega Dreamcast had a hidden built-in 3D system menu called 'Real Mode'? In 2004, Sega released their final Dreamcast game, Puyo Puyo Fever. It included a special VMU icon containing a simple feature flag that unlocks this hidden feature.

Super thankful that Sega didn't let these hidden features packed into this last game just go unused forever. Also pretty blown away that the Dreamcast system menu also supported background images.

Popular titles like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Capcom vs. SNK 2 were also NAOMI-based games. What was disappointing, though, was the irony that Virtua Fighter 4 never came to the Dreamcast and was instead released on the PlayStation 2.
