@ItsaNeeto it's kinda whack how many art styles can use the same composition theories that work in photography; just find it cool

@Nostalgic_Earth I remember my boss in the photography studio showing me these. He had transparencies that he would lay over my photos so I could see how they would look if cropped differently. He could work magic sometimes.

Obi Agye Me Dɔfo. The highlife instrumental compositions of the 1970’s were on a different level. No wonder people went to clubs during lunch breaks 😀 Meanwhile, does this remind of you of another 70’s hit song?

I'm still super addicted to Monsters & Memories. I haven't played a game this much in ages (i almost quit after i first tried it). So many different group compositions work, as classes gain levels there are so many fun combat intricacies. Once this MMO clicked, it clicked hard

This blocking and camera movement breakdown is from Steven Spielberg's Minority Report. This one's a little different because it's a steadicam shot so the compositions flow very quickly at times. I don't like to call ALL of Spielberg's multi-composition shots oners because, typically, they are just old-school blocking, staging and cam movement. Actor's moving at specified dramatic blocks, and the camera moving to reframe for unique compositions, that these day's would more likely be broken into shots on most films. This one could arguably be called a oner though since it's a full scene in one continuous shot. I count 11 compositions in this steadicam shot. Minority Report - 2005 Credit due also to Spielberg's team, Janusz Kaminski (DP), and the Steadicam operator Gregory Lundsgaard (per IMDB). #filmtwitter #spielberg #directing #steadicam #MinorityReport

Young Dolph, 2009. A federal copyright registration, claimant Paper Route Entertainment, transfer field: "Solely owned by Adolph Thornton Jr." He owned the masters. That part is documented. Now the compositions. 41 registrations list him as author. The claimant on all 41 is Empire. Transfer statement: "By written agreement." Filed in three batches in 2020. Empire launched a publishing division on September 10 that year, and named him in the announcement. Nobody took anything. He signed something. But it tells you where the line fell: recordings home, publishing out. And "Paper Route Empire" as a claimant returns only a different company in Georgia. The label in the story holds nothing registered. ⚠️ It wasn't uniform. On 13 other compositions he IS a claimant - some features, some his own. Independence comes out to one decision per right.

CHEKKARA EKKADA and VASTA NEE VENUKA are perfect examples of why Rahmans compositions operate on a different level of sophistication….vasta nee venuka is actually a reinterpretation of track THOTTAL POO MALARUM by MSV and TKR…yet Rahman reshaped it with an electronic pulse that still sounds futuristic even two decades later….NANI soundtrack hasnt aged..but it evolved ahead of its time. We brought Blender into AI movie generation. This will save so much time for anyone creating AI movies or dramas! The most controllable way to direct consistent frames featuring complex spaces and multiple characters. At Plot Party we've added a 3D Director Console so you can extract compositions into 3D, easily tune exact shot configurations, and natively embedded into your AI generation workflow. This has been our most ambitious feature to date, where we worked across model and interface layers, rethought the entire experience, and brought two apparently different paradigms under the same experience. Give it a shot (pun intended)!

🇷🇺 “Reintegration of what—of the Soviet Union? No, of course not. That’s simply not on the table.” — Putin He says rebuilding the USSR is irrational. Why? Because the modern Russian Federation would be destabilized by absorbing nations with different ethnic and religious compositions. He also accuses the West of inventing the empire myth on purpose to frighten their own populations, to justify aggression, and to manipulate public opinion with their monopoly on media: “They abuse their monopoly in the global media. It is called manipulation of the public opinion and the goal is to justify their aggressive policy towards Russia.”

T2I-CompBench: A Comprehensive Benchmark for Open-world Compositional Text-to-image Generation paper page: Despite the stunning ability to generate high-quality images by recent text-to-image models, current approaches often struggle to effectively compose objects with different attributes and relationships into a complex and coherent scene. We propose T2I-CompBench, a comprehensive benchmark for open-world compositional text-to-image generation, consisting of 6,000 compositional text prompts from 3 categories (attribute binding, object relationships, and complex compositions) and 6 sub-categories (color binding, shape binding, texture binding, spatial relationships, non-spatial relationships, and complex compositions). We further propose several evaluation metrics specifically designed to evaluate compositional text-to-image generation. We introduce a new approach, Generative mOdel fine-tuning with Reward-driven Sample selection (GORS), to boost the compositional text-to-image generation abilities of pretrained text-to-image models. Extensive experiments and evaluations are conducted to benchmark previous methods on T2I-CompBench, and to validate the effectiveness of our proposed evaluation metrics and GORS approach.

Remembering the great Paul Desmond who was born on this day in 1924. One of the most popular musicians to come out of the cool jazz scene, Desmond is best known for his work with the Dave Brubeck Quartet and compositions like “Take Five” that became jazz standarts. He also played with many different artists and composers. He first collaborated with Gerry Mulligan, with whom he shared stage in 1969 and in 1974. One of Desmond’s legendary performances was in collaboration with The Modern Jazz Quartet for a Christmas concert in 1971. Here, he is performing “Take Five” with Dave Brubeck on piano, Eugene Wright on bass and Joe Morello on drums live in 1964.

Uganda has lost one of its great Catholic music composers, Father James Kabuye. The Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, which began in 1962, the same year Father Kabuye was ordained a priest, would later create opportunities for him to put his musical compositions to greater use. He had learned from the late Father Kyangambiddwa how to write, read and interpret African music. Composing therefore came naturally to him, particularly following the groundbreaking decisions of the Second Vatican Council in 1964. This presented an opportunity for Father Kabuye, who could compose music in Luganda. The challenge, however, was how to make music in a local language as appealing as it was in Latin. An idea then struck Father Kabuye: he would compose music that retained elements of the original Catholic Latin canticles but featured a slightly faster tempo. His compositions feature a responsorial style, in which the congregation sings a short, easy-to-memorize refrain, followed by verses led by a principal singer (a cantor) or by the choir. Other priests, including Expedito Magembe and Vincent Bakkabulindi, later contributed to this musical development. The Buganda region became the first to adopt a local language in liturgical music. In subsequent years, the late Monsignor Bonaventure Kasaijja composed several liturgical pieces in Runyoro, Rutooro, Runyakore and Rukiga. In the 1970s, a heated debate emerged over whether local instruments should be used in churches instead of organs, which were largely reserved for seminarians. Eventually, local instruments were accepted, contributing to the revival and wider appreciation of local church music. Father Kabuye’s music is a regular part of Catholic church services across different types of Masses, with more than 100 compositions attributed to him. I met Father James Kabuye in July 2016, and we had a long conversation about his music career and priesthood. I did not want to stop listening to his wisdom. Watch these excerpts from NTV’s Talking Arts. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Ugandan Catholics Online Uganda Episcopal Conference

These look like paintings. Look closer. There is no paint. Each scene is a micromosaic, assembled by hand from hundreds of thousands of tiny pieces of natural stone. More than 100 natural colors were used, with the center citing 110 different shades. Stone was sourced from Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. The compositions were based on sketches by Uzbek academic painter Alisher Alikulov and produced by craftsmen who turned those images into vast mosaics. Inside the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, fourteen monumental scenes fill the arched niches of the Hall of Honour, depicting figures who shaped the intellectual and cultural history of Central Asia: al-Khwarizmi, Imam al-Bukhari, Ibn Sina, al-Biruni, Amir Timur, Ulugh Beg, Alisher Navoi, Babur, and others. A civilization remembered through stone, one tiny piece at a time.

Miles Davis on why Prince and Michael Jackson deserve more respect than people think. In a candid conversation, the jazz legend reveals something unexpected about two of pop music's biggest names. When Prince and Michael Jackson are brought up, Davis initially seems caught off guard: "I'm surprised that you would mention a Prince and a Michael Jackson. For some reason I wouldn't have thought that you would put them in that category." But then he catches himself. "I don't know why. Because they're really composers." Davis breaks down what separates true composers from mere performers. It comes down to what happens in the silence between the singing: "When you sing a song and you have to have an arrangement, when you stop singing, they have to fill in the crack. And some people can fill in cracks more. Prince will say something, he'll sing right a phrase, underneath is the music that you hear under him, and after a phrase are short compositions actually." He draws a clear distinction between how Prince and Michael work: "Prince does everything himself. But Michael has about three other composers. One for brass, one for funky sound to bass drums, a different composer for violins, a different composer for horns."

Pls do sign the petition- One strength of Paracetamol One India. Link - Attached the editorial by Dr Prof Gitanjali B in the journal of pharmacology and pharmacotherapeutics (Sep 2011) Even if you don't give medicine to the child it's ok, but do not definitely give the wrong and high dose which can endanger a child's life. Don't be in a hurry to give medicines. There are so many instances of children going into coma or having seizures or having depression of breathing, because of overdosing. In India, many medicines like paracetamol, cough and cold medicines, vomiting medicines etc are available in various concentrations, but have the same name. So, the parents end up giving incorrect doses. Please ensure you understand the doctor's prescription properly (the name of the medicine, the composition, and the dose). Check the label aswell. Check the expiry date. Common mistakes-1. giving domstal drops instead of domstal suspension (eg. When 2ml of domstal suspension is prescribed and you give 2ml of domstal drops, you end up giving 10 times the dose). Recently I saw a video where an influencer was advising parents to carry Domstal in the travel kit. I wouldn't suggest you do that on a regular basis, because there are certain contraindications to using this medicine called Domperidone in addition to the possibility of potentially and fatally overdosing. 2. Sinarest drops, Sinarest syrup, Sinarest AF drops, Sinarest AF syrup, Sinarest AF New syrup etc- each has a different composition (not allowed below 4 years of age as per the latest Government order) 3. Maxtra drops and Maxtra syrup- different composition. (Not allowed below 4 years of age as per the latest Government order) 4. Ambrodil syrup, Ambrodil drops, Ambrodil S, Ambrodil D etc with different compositions 5. Crocin drops, Crocin 120, Crocin 240, P500 etc have different strengths of Paracetamol 6. Giving 2 to 3 cough/cold syrups on the same day with the risk of overdosing with one of the components. Pls pls check and recheck before giving medicines to children. Keep medicines out of sight and out of reach. Happy birthday to the great Anthony Braxton who was born on this day in 1945. Inspired by John Cage and Karlheinz Stockhausen as much as John Coltrane and Charlie Parker, Braxton has crafted an immense body of highly complex work. His work examines core principles of improvisation, structural navigation and ritual engagement – innovation, spirituality, and intellectual investigation. In his compositions, Braxton draws on a wide array of musical traditions, most notably American jazz and European contemporary classical music. He has performed in the United States and Europe with traditional jazz musicians, free-jazz players of all types, electronic and contemporary classical composers, and African and South Indian classical musicians, and may be heard on more than 100 recordings. Braxton identifies as a “trans-idiomatic” composer and has repeatedly opposed the idea of a rigid dichotomy between improvisation and composition. He has written extensively about the “language music” system that forms the basis for his work and developed a philosophy of “world creativity” in his Tri-Axium Writings. His works included For Two Pianos (1982); Creative Orchestra Music 1976, a major album of big jazz band scores; For Four Orchestras (1978), involving 160 musicians and four conductors; a series of operas titled Trilium; and works for chamber settings, for 100 tubas, and for four amplified shovels and a coal pile. Throughout his career Braxton developed different musical systems, notably Ghost Trance Music, which he described as “melody that doesn’t end.” In the 1990s Braxton also performed as a pianist. He continued to tour into the 21st century. Here, he is performing “Impressions” with Chick Corea on piano, Miroslav Vitous on bass and Jack DeJohnette on drums live in 1981.
