Disfigure doesn't modify skeletons & skins, instead it deforms the whole space. Imagine a space where each point is a matrix. Disfigure figures out these matrices and space gets entangled beyond comprehension. Live: #ThreeJS #TSL #disfigure #FMI #SU #js

You have points of reference that deforms a lattice & in deforming the lattice, the lattice deforms the mesh inside? Very very cool. Need to dig into the code, just curious how all these rotations are meshed together smoothly on the lattice.

There is no lattice. It is drawn only to visualize how space is deformed. This work is highly experimental. I plan to write a paper with conceptual and math details when/if this approach becomes useful. Rotations are just matrices that are multiplied in the correct order.

Could you use the same technique to control an underlying armature (Skeleton) from a GLB?

It could be used, I think, but I'm not sure whether there will be any benefit.

Would be cool if you can somehow export a normal skeletons animation as this matrix So it can be applyed to anything :)

Most likely your hardware cannot work with the detailed cube that surrounds the model (100x100x50), or is not using WebGPU. Here is a version with less number of vertices (8x8x4):
