Gratefully, we have since learned that the property owners of the site will not sell or lease the property to the federal government. You may have read about a letter I sent to the property owners explaining why it wouldn’t work here. But let me be clear: this isn’t just about zoning restrictions. Such a facility has no place in this city. Whether at that site or anywhere else.
