The existing tool is fantastic, but it doesn’t support the WebGPU renderer yet. If you have not had the profound misfortune of visiting TrumpRx, it is a federal drug pricing website that looks like Wix and a Pinterest board threw up on each other. There’s a gold 3D eagle, there are pills floating across the screen, with the tagline “TrumpRx the price,” which is unfortunately not satire. It has the typography of a Brooklyn juice bar and the self-regard of a man who has never been told no. It is, in every conceivable aesthetic sense, a catastrophe. But that’s almost the point. Because while you’re busy looking at the website, the website is busy watching you.

During the snowstorm that is sweeping through the U.S. right now, the safest vehicle you can be in is in a Tesla with FSD bc it can react faster than any human or gas car. An electric motors respond in milliseconds. When a wheel starts to slip on snow or ice, Tesla’s sensors detect it up to 1,000 times per second, and the computer instantly cuts or redistributes power to the wheels with grip. On the other hand, gas cars have major delay and don’t have this capability… That means if your Tesla hits a tiny patch of ice, the car corrects it right away, even before you even feel it, almost like the car is thinking ahead. If you don’t believe me listen to the man that built it. Joe: “What happens if you get sideways in the snow? Like, does it correct for that?” Elon: “Yeah. Electric cars have really great traction control because the reaction time is so fast. So, with a gasoline car, you’ve got a lot of latency. It takes a while for the engine to react, but for electric motors, incredibly precise…. But to an electric motor, it’s operating at the millisecond level. So, it can turn on and off traction within, like, inches of getting on… let’s say, you’re driving on a patch of ice, it will turn traction off, and then turn it on a couple inches right after the ice, like a little patch of ice because in the frame of the electric motor, you’re moving incredibly slowly. You’re like a, you’re a snail. You’re just moving so slowly because it can see at a thousand frames a second. Why do we still buy stadium tickets without ever seeing what the view from the seat actually looks like? ☠️ So I prototyped an idea. A 3D seat view experience for a football stadium built with Fable 5 + Three.js, where you can preview exactly what you'll see from your seat before buying. The entire 3D experience was working after the first prompt, and the whole prototype came together in just five prompts. This is the kind of 3D experience I'd love to see more of, tbh. Feels so good. Right now, buying a ticket gives you almost no sense of what the experience will actually feel like. We're still relying on static seat maps, charts, and boring UI layouts, when interactive 3D experiences could make that decision so much easier. If you think, 3D development has the potential to create genuinely useful experiences. This feels like the direction we should be heading. 3D is the future. I can already imagine this for cinemas, cricket stadiums, Wimbledon, concerts, and so many other venues. I'm planning to take this further. What should I build next? CHINA JUST DROPPED AN AI CODING MODEL WITH A 1M CONTEXT WINDOW. And I connected it to Claude Code to see what it could actually do. Meet GLM-X Preview On paper, a few things immediately stood out: → 1M context window → Agentic coding capabilities → Works inside Claude Code → Designed for large-scale coding and reasoning workflows But specs don't matter much if the model can't deliver in practice. So I gave it a real-world task. THE TEST One prompt: > Build a modern AI lead generation dashboard using React and Tailwind CSS. Requirements: → Dark mode → Analytics dashboard → Lead table → Email outreach section → Responsive design → Production-ready component structure Instead of generating a few snippets, it planned the architecture, generated the dashboard components, created the Tailwind configuration, and walked through the implementation requirements. What impressed me most wasn't the code itself. It was how well it maintained context throughout the workflow. That's where a 1M context window starts becoming useful. Less time re-explaining requirements. Less context loss. More room for complex projects. The AI coding race is getting very interesting. Three fundamentals that anyone who ever played Civilization (1991) most likely agrees with - let me know if I missed something: 1) The tech options that are given to you at the start of the game really matter. If you were missing a key one at the start, you probably restarted... 2) Settling for your first city early was always key (maximum of 1-2 moves to explore terrain but then turn the settler into a city). If you wasted the first couple of moves or the terrain was horrendous, you probably restarted... 3) Finding a "hut" was always a gamble - and you always took it. Free unit, 50 gold pieces, free tech - or barbarians. If it was the latter, you definitely restarted... If you're lucky - like I was in the video - and start with 2 settlers, you have a massive headstart. Instead of immediately using one to start a city, I gambled and explored (couldn't resist). If you are extra lucky, you find another nation with just one city (early game), no defense, walk right in with your settler and eliminate them early. Very unorthodox gameplay of course, I was suprised it worked. Speaking of unorthodox: In order to handicap yourself (because you already master Civ on its highest level of difficulty) you can let barbarians walk into your cities, undefended... rinse and repeat and see what happens - let them grow and become a "real" nation and superpower. Not sure if this was ever intended by the developers but seeing barbarians ranked at #1 in population, tech, etc. is pretty fun.

My honest take on Kimi.ai K3 👀 As soon as I got access to Kimi, I put it through the exact same 3D football stadium challenge I had previously given Claude Fable 5. Fable 5 finished in under an hour. Kimi took almost 3 hours 🥵 At first, that was a very bad impression but i decided to see what's taking it this much of time. It was running E2E tests, validating desktop, tablet, and mobile, taking screenshots, finding failures, fixing them, even adapting for low end hardware and low FPS before moving on. All these that Fable 5 never did. None of it because it wasn't able to run this WebGL app on a headless browser. Kimi also shipped a clean React + Three.js codebase with proper components while Fable, as you might have checked codebase, generated one big HTML file with everything stuffed in. With all of this happening, it felt like I was doing more "Vibe Coding" with Fable 5 and more "Vibe Engineering" with Kimi K3. It feels like it's spending more time making sure the code actually works and easily scalable. Really impressed so far. More Kimi K3 experiments coming soon. ✨ I made a little demo of #vibejam sponsor Tripo and how you can use it to generate assets for your games In this case I'm generating an apartment flat that's half destroyed and open for my drone sim to fly around, take cover and shoot at enemies from First I write the prompt and select Nano Banana to generate an image first, I get a few different ones, and I select the one I like Then that one is converted into a 3d object called a Smart Mesh Smart Mesh is different than regular image-to-3d models because usually you get issues with uneven polygon distribution, too dense geometry and poor edge flow, so while you think you save time with generating it with AI you end up doing lots of editing after to fix the topology which kinda defeats the point Smart Mesh doesn't have any of this, it's fast and clean low-poly models you can drop into your game Anyway, after generating the model I can then see it in 3d, and if I don't like it, regenerate it, or if I like it start texturing it Once that's done, I export it as a GLB, FBX or OBJ and drop it in (usually I use GLB as ThreeJS seems to prefer that), in my case I just drop the URL into Cursor and let it figure out the placement of the asset into my game!

Alex Proyas on the Commercial failure of 'Dark City' (1998) & its similarities with 'The Matrix' (1999): "Interviewer: Are you surprised by how big a cult film it has become? Proyas: I was surprised it didn't achieve commercial success initially, but I'm happy it has had this long-lasting life after the fact. I was pretty disappointed the studio hadn't really managed to sell the movie in the way that they could have. I don't think they really knew what to make of it quite frankly. The studio put out a trailer that was quite clever. It was completely non-narrative, just music and imagery. The guys who made the trailer specifically wrote a piece of music for the trailer, and the whole thing felt handcrafted and definitely had a personality. I think people were genuinely impressed by it but it didn't explain to them what the movie was or give them an idea of the kind of experience they were going to get. I think it made audiences think it was some kind of a horror movie. As a result people kind of overlooked it in the theaters. I know 99% of the people who loved it and always ask me about it are people who saw it on video years later. How do you feel about the similarities the later 'The Matrix' (1999) has to 'Dark City' (1998)? If I answer that question honestly it sounds like sour grapes because obviously 'The Matrix' did better commercially than 'Dark City' did. 'Dark City' came out a year before 'The Matrix', one of my producers on 'Dark City' worked on 'The Matrix', and the Wachowskis saw 'Dark City' a good nine months before 'Dark City' came out in the theaters, so they had a good run at picking the more important cherries off the cake. I feel like it's a question I can't answer in any more detail than that, other than to say that maybe the Wachowskis should be asked the question rather than me."
