Thurston County on Tuesday signed off on an ordinance requiring people to obtain a Home Energy Score (HES) before listing a property for sale. The policy aims to encourage people in unincorporated parts of the county to make energy efficiency and energy costs transparent to residents and the real estate market, according to the county website. The measure will not take effect until one year after the vote. The Thurston County Commission approved a requirement that homeowners obtain a professional evaluation of their insulation, heating and cooling systems, water heating systems, and other features before putting a property on the market. We've finished the V2 prototype of Prometheus, our autonomous drone. It flies, explores, and scans on its own - no GPS, no pilot, no signal required. The kind of environments where most drones become expensive paperweights are exactly where it's built to work: indoors, in the dark, close to obstacles, off the grid. We're now moving from prototype to real-world pilots, and we're looking for partners to test it with: fire brigades and disaster response, industrial inspection, construction, critical-infrastructure security. We're building this in Europe, for Europe. Autonomy at this level is strategically important - this technology will exist, and the question is who builds it and where. We'd rather it be us, here. When the weather calms, which it regularly does, wind power disappears from the grid. Britain only stays online thanks to dispatchable energy systems picking up the slack. The country would be better off, both financially and in terms of energy security, if it simply ran off dispatchable power in the first place.

As temperatures rise and living conditions continue to deteriorate, our tents have become overwhelmed by huge numbers of mosquitoes and insects, along with strange reptiles and crawling creatures that find their way into the places where children and families sleep. Our children can no longer sleep because of the constant bites, and fear follows us day and night in tents that provide neither safety nor protection. Our suffering is no longer limited to displacement, hunger, and the extreme summer heat. Insects and reptiles have become an additional danger, threatening our health and safety every single day. We are living in conditions unfit for human beings, and urgent action is needed to protect the thousands of families facing these risks in displacement camps.

That completely changes the conversation. Instead of being seen as “the evil data center guys,” we can help power Utah’s grid while also building critical AI infrastructure for the future. And despite the headlines, we’re not building the world’s largest data center overnight. We’re starting with just 1.5 gigawatts with 1 gigawatt of net IT load a small fraction of the long-term proposal and proving the model first. And it’s not a 40,000 acre data center. Our project a full build out will span 10-13k acres 7,500 of which will be preserved. We want the people of Box Elder County to come see it themselves, the EPA air quality standards, the water permits, the noise compliance, and how the project actually operates before anything scales further.$

Among the key issues were also broader opportunities for investment in Ukraine and the involvement of private business in reconstruction, including investments in the defense industry. Thank you to the representatives for supporting Ukraine throughout these years of full-scale Russian aggression. Even during the war, after such a winter, our country lives. We are open to partnership, to joint projects, to investments that will support our people and our security. Thank you to everyone who invests in Ukraine’s resilience.
