Todd Monken opened the door for a quarterback competition between Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson yesterday. Even with all of the baggage Watson brings, I think he would wipe the floor with Shedeur in a competition based off pure skill alone. No praise for Deshaun, Shedeur just is not that level of talent.

Even with Deshaun Watson's perfect second half against the Ravens, some #Browns fans will simply never be satisfied with the quarterback. No matter what he does. People act like it's okay for QBs like Josh Allen (3 turnovers Monday night) or Lamar Jackson (1 completion in the 4th quarter) to have bad games or drives or whatever, but Deshaun Watson has to complete 100% of his passes and score a touchdown on every drive to even be considered 'okay.' This nonsense has to stop so we can just appreciate that Watson has a 4-1 record in full games this season. His adjusted completion percentage against the Ravens was 76%. 76%!!! Against one of the best defenses in the league! Don't miss out on what the Browns and Deshaun Watson are accomplishing right now just because someone on ESPN told you $230M comes with a contract stipulation that you must be the first-ever perfect quarterback in football history. I’m convinced the Cleveland Browns never had any intention to start Shedeur Sanders. Shedeur starting the 2nd preseason game without the rest of the Browns starters makes zero sense. It’s impossible to get a comparable evaluation in a QB competition if Shedeur doesn’t get to play with all the starters. Shedeur doesn’t have a $230 Million fully guaranteed contract. It’s a business. I get it. But the Browns could have saved the locker room and the fans from a lot of unnecessary noise from the media by just declaring they planned to start Deshaun Watson no matter what. #ClevelandBrowns #ShedeurSanders #RG3 #OuttaPocket
