Do you believe Valve should create a kernel-level anti-cheat system, or should they enhance the existing one?

i like this guy

kernel AC violates valve design morals and shit i dont see it happening ever and it's still circumventable by cheats

It's an old game but last time I saw someone getting banned in Diablo2(Blizzard game) was in like 2014

CS2 is HxH game now.. accept it!

Im saying it all time: the data stream from a cheater cant look like a datastream from a legit player - so a serversided AC should be able todetect, that the data send from cheaters is nonsense...

server side A.I. Anticheat with random screenshots made should seal the deal for most cheats. Of course, there is always that second-monitor / Second PC guy. Guys who use sound Radar or other advanced hacks. Maybe even overlay-cheater-glasses ... But you would reduce them!

I could care less about spy ware, if someone wants to find out something on you it won't be hard for them to if they know what they are doing. I'd rather have an invasive anti-cheat that works and works extremely well than a anti cheat that isn't invasive but works poorly.

People want it because it has worked for Valorant and even I did. Anti-Cheat proactivity and staying ahead is how you keep servers clean. This is just the easiest way for them to see everything going on, on the computer. Even then they aren’t flawless so it’s a means not an end.

This is a deep question to ask a lot of non developers. Computer vision based cheats are coming anyways, nothing will save you from those.

i will gladly give valve access to my 29 terabytes of porn i can’t play that shit anymore theres cheaters in every match
