Do you know why 🇨🇳China can continuously build impressive infrastructure? The answer is simple: good government planning. In China, government polices are designed to lift working-class people up. Common prosperity, not prosperity for just a few billionaires.

Chinese government is so oppressive few are willing to tell the truth about it.

Those massive infrastructure projects in China are vanity projects financed through debt. They are built quickly but often with poor quality and sometimes start falling apart in a few years. That particular bridge project diverted funds that could have been used to lift impoverished communities in the area.

If there are good government planning, operators won’t be running such a huge loss annually. The financial loss could well be better used in providing free education or medical svs. In short, government officials prefer poster boy projects for their own career advancement.

The median income of China is $4000 pa. So 700 million of them earn less. How much did they spank on a bridge people can't eat?

How do you explain the empty condo buildings? Or how they fall apart after 2 years

Do you know the stories behind these massive infrastructures? Late last year in Guangzhou, a Didi driver told me he was actually a small construction contractor. The 城投工程(LGFV projects) are subcontracted layer by layer. When it reached him, it was already the fifth level.

@grok, I have suddenly got a whole lot of gushingly pro-China content in my feed on X. Never searched it before - and none of it is critical, it all has 1k+ likes and all the comments are negative and scathing about each of them. It seems very suspicious. Why might this be?

Rampant graft and corruption would be my guess. Why else would someone build a bridge on the middle of nowhere with restaurants and a waterfall? That’s a ridiculous waste of money.

LOL< I have been traveling to China for over 30 years and watched it transform, it is not all what you think! Similar to the USA during WPA. No rules, little safety, little in the way once the right people get there money. And it has been failing in multiple areas!

Because they spend all of the money on infrastructure to inflate their GDP and that housing prices are going down and that anybody outside of a major city lives in poverty. Cool! I mean, don’t listen to me. Let’s talk to the robot man. Yes, China’s GDP has been partly “artificial” or inflated by massive infrastructure spending, which boosts short-term growth through construction activity but often yields low long-term returns due to overinvestment and underutilization.

The CCP builds not only infrastructure but also complex shadow company networks for party elites to launder and embezzle taxpayers' money, far surpassing infrastructure complexity, and these scumbags can kill at will #JusticeforYuMenglong #YuMenglong #CCPOUT

Anyone surprised that the continuity of one 5 yr plan after another for decades actually worked in China? Meanwhile ‘democracies’ play dogem cars with social policies for 3 or 4 yrs in a spectacle of political power games for nobody but themselves and the oligarchs who own them.
