This is a great visualisation and exactly how multiplication issshown on the BBC’s Numberblocks TV programme which many chn in the UK watch. Can you explain the mixed fractions rectangle please?

Yay. This is a grade 3 Common Core strategy. Now use that same area model to visualize division. The number in the “box” is the area. And the divisor is one of the side lengths and the quotient is the other.

Thanks @howie_hua I remember when I was first shown this approach (as an adult…) which helped me expand the process of “why” within multiplication a bit better than “number of apples on trees in an orchard” I usually used as a metaphor
