DOC is proposing to close Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution, where nearly half the inmates are sex offenders. Those offenders would be relocated, forcing early release of others due to overcrowding. These aren’t scare tactics. This is in the state’s own budget documents.

This is Miracle Village, where almost half of the population are convicted sex offenders, many of them recently released from prison and still on probation. Some of the sex offenders abused minors, sometimes their own children, while others viewed child pornography. Why are MAGA news networks up in arms reporting on a Muslim City in Texas and not reporting on the pedophile city in Florida or the new pedophile city they are building in Texas?

Pressure is growing on the UK government to change controversial legislation that means some violent offenders will be released from jail earlier than expected. The Sentencing Act, which came into force this year, allows some offenders to leave jail after serving just a third of their sentences and others just half of theirs. The government says it has to tackle overcrowding in prisons in England and Wales. We spoke to a group of survivors about the risks they say will come with the changes and the huge impact this is going to have on them and the wider community.

For the past few weeks I’ve been vocally opposed to sex offenders running for office. Somehow there are corners of the internet where people think a diversity of people running for office in our country is equally abhorrent to sex offenders running for office. I think people like Fleccas 🇺🇸 lost the plot. I love this city and our country enough to fight for it to be better. I hope you’ll join my campaign as we defeat all of these narratives.

Here she is this morning, full of concern, warning against blindly trusting the government on the prisoner early release scheme. “The proof of the pudding is always in the eating”, she says. We need “fundamental” reviews of who should be eligible and proper safeguards for when offenders get out. What’s truly sickening is watching her perform this sudden concern. As “Safeguarding Minister” she not only supported the early release legislation but actually voted AGAINST a Conservative amendment that would have excluded serious sexual offenders, including rpists, pdophiIes and grooming-gang members! Yes, she actually voted to keep them eligible for early release. When challenged on it she shrugged it off with “there is a prisons crisis”.
