Does anyone know why before I could maintain 500ish fps in pretty much every situation, even while streaming and running replay buffer at 1440p 120fps (video for proof), but now I will drop to below 300 fps doing absolutely nothing?? LOL Nothing has changed about my system other than... show more

In my previous post about the #Nioh3 demo, I mentioned that when the game isn’t consistently holding 60 FPS or 120 FPS, several issues can show up. Here’s a clearer breakdown of what's going on. The main reason is that the game speed and physics are tied to the frame rate. When you enable the 120 FPS cap, the engine start overreacting and pushes CPU usage very high, even if the game is still running at around 60 FPS (as shown in the first example). In the second clip, you can see the uneven, jittery camera movement I mentioned before. Notice how much smoother 60 FPS and 120 FPS look compared to the unlocked side. Also, camera movement at 60 FPS is slightly faster than at 120 FPS. In the third clip, player movement is slower when the frame rate is unlocked. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it shows up often enough to be noticeable. Because of how the Katana Engine behaves, the game is clearly designed around 60 FPS. Running at 120 FPS is possible, but it’s only recommended if your system can maintain that target almost all the time, which isn’t easy to achieve. There’s also an alternative workaround where you select the 60 (locked) option and enable Frame Generation (DLSS or FSR 3), as shown in the last clip. The downside is that DLSS Frame Generation tends to show the same stuttery look as when the frame rate isn’t holding a fixed target, likely due to Reflex keeping the frame rate slightly below target. FSR Frame Generation, on the other hand, looks much smoother and works better here.

Because this has gotten some recent attention again. Apex Legends has bugged FPS ranges, like 140-160FPS for example, where you are severely magnetized to the floor when trying to Slidehop. This Issue has existed for it's entire Lifetime and has been raised to Respawn multiple times. That this still hasn't been addressed in a self proclaimed Movement shooter is completely unbelievable. So i'm once again calling public attention to it in yet another attempt to get this actually looked at. If you regularly reach the following FPS Ranges you HAVE TO Cap your FPS below them to prevent this magnetization issue. - 65-85FPS - 140-160FPS - 205-230FPS - 275-300FPS Even very shallow inclines extend these ranges even further. If you regularly reach FPS in these ranges use the +fps_max command to cap your FPS below one of these ranges. For example “+fps_max 270”. To be safe around inclines set your fps cap 5-10FPS below these ranges. I can guarantee you there will be people under this post utterly flabbergasted that this was the issue all along for why their movement felt so much shittier compared to the smooth movement of the Content creators they watch.

Friends! We are always asked about how Ralphy is doing. He comes in pretty much every day for a visit (and a snack!) and what you see in this video is pretty much what always happens. I Supervise. The Triplets surround Ralphy. Cleo tries to touch him - which he doesn’t like! Baby Dog has to leave the room because he worries about it… but there’s no real drama. Mum thinks eventually they will all get used to the situation and relax!

Because just doing nothing at all would be better than the constant shit show we have been party to for the last 25 fucking years. This video will mean nothing to you, but its been very helpful in testing different Super Safety trigger profiles. This was filmed at 960 FPS using the Sony RX10 II. A high speed camera has proven very handy for all sorts of test work. Here I am comparing two shots, one is graded blue and the other red. This allows me to see the differences and tell which part movement is from which video capture. Now if only I had a WEDM machine to cut consistent test profiles.

It will involve developing or customizing an existing GPU framework. There's also a lot of room to improve CPU/RAM, but right now it's in an okay place. #gamedev

I’m now being told that TomCPU is encouraging people to report my CPA license while also egging on a severely unstable woman who has been threatening me and my daughter all day and falsely accusing me of running various burner accounts. For the record, I am not behind those burner accounts. What’s especially bizarre is that I have never been anything but cordial to Tom. I listened to his many tantrums and insane accusations about other boots on the ground, and I even gave him a heads-up multiple times about when Aidan and I would be at court so he could film for his channel. Why he is now having this meltdown and teaming up with someone who has been making disturbing sexual posts about my daughter all day is beyond me. Tom, this is a warning: stop encouraging people to target my professional license, stop amplifying someone who is sexualizing or threatening my child, and stop talking about me altogether. I have never done anything to you and I want absolutely nothing to do with you. Your behavior is disturbing, and based on your history with others, it is genuinely concerning. Leave me and my family alone. PS- if you’re doing this to impress daddy, I hope you realize he never wanted to give you the time of day. And when you asked me to relay info to him, he’d roll his eyes. Every time. I couldn’t care less that you’re on his side, but stop screwing with my real life when I’ve shown you nothing but kindness.
