I mean, the cap on the joke is that Homer repeats it later and clearly says “Car hole”

Car hole. Because car hold isn’t funny and actually sounds as fancy as garage, which is the entire joke, as Moe is an abrasive character.

@OOCCouchGags The tie breaker for my brother and I back in the day was that he had to have said "hole" because "car hold" is actually correct in some places, and the point was to show how uncultured Moe is.

Later in the episode, Homer says "Car Hole" much more clearly, when he discovers the counterfeit jeans ring operating out of it!
