Don’t ask me why I’m using this weight cause this is equivalent to a 100 kg barbell squat in my book. 🫠

This is a coaching problem. You don’t know what you don’t know. I’m not even a squat absolutist but guys with long femurs and short torsos can squat just fine with an adjustment of mechanics. A more horizontal back angle is not “wrong” so long as the barbell stays centered over midfoot. I’m a long femur short torso guy myself. Here is a perfectly fine paused high bar squat.

Not sure I’ve done a barbell squat since I discovered this machine. I’m squatting 300kg here by the way.

I did this 140kg / 308lbs x 5 barbell squat easily last week. This week, I needed a spotter to finish the same set. Why does strength fluctuate like this? 😭

Gym maturity is realizing you don’t have to Barbell Squat AT ALL You can just do a Hack Squat or a Pendulum Squat or a Smith Squat and get all the benefits while reducing injury risk and lowering fatigue cost

The Irishman moved into my Letterboxd 4 this week. Don’t ask me how, don’t ask me why. The universe just spoke to me. Probably because Pesci, Pacino, De Niro, & Marty somehow pull this masterpiece off in their 70s. Never, ever take this film for granted, people. It’s a miracle.

It’s still so crazy to me that anyone could watch this video/see this machine in action and think “That’s cool & all but I think a Barbell Squat will do a better job of growing my legs!” Legit insane tbh

🔥Unpopular opinion… D-Linemen should never do max squats. As impressive as it is to squat 800 pounds, this type of weight lifting often leads to injury and develops stiffness. Why? 95% of linemen don’t have the flexibility to do execute proper squat technique. Thoughts?
