I've never heard of this before. The animation looks really cool. I like how the ship enters the cloud. I'm placing this on my list to look for.

I've watched it again - and it is a masterpiece synthesis of popular SF movies of the time, Heavy Metal magazine, and the work of Studio Ghibli. The robot Shaian charmingly runs on MS Basic of the sort that a contemporary MSX computer would use.

One of the cheapest animes ever made.
