Draymond Green responds to Stephen A. Smith 😳 “The problem that I have is we’re calling for all this accountability, but all these guys just get to say things and there’s zero accountability. There’s zero accountability when it comes to me. Just literally get to throw sh*t at a... wall and see if it sticks. Zero accountability. But always want to hold others accountable. I don’t understand. Like these guys don’t have to answer for these awful a** takes they make. How wrong they be in most situations. But these are experts. I don’t understand it. It’s the only thing you can become an expert in and never have any experience with the game.” (Via The Draymond Green Show)show more

Draymond Green GOES OFF on Cleveland Cavs defense 😳 “Dennis Schröder wanted to take on that challenge, Dennis Schröder was taking on that challenge. When Dennis Schröder left the game things got a little bleak. Because you got guys in there that don’t really want that challenge, they don’t want to fight through the screen and say that’s my matchup I want to stop this guy. They don’t do it. I watch this every night in these big time playoff games of guys who “man I’m a defender I want to defend and you switch every fu*king time it’s an opportunity to.” Every time. And I don’t understand it, I don’t understand it. Guys simply don’t know how to win, don’t want to win, don’t want to do what it takes. Something along those lines.” (Via The Draymond Green Show)

Draymond Green says Steve Kerr is the coach you want when your backs against the wall: “I know all of you have you’re complaints about Steve Kerr, have you’re complaints about his rotations, his philosophies and all of these things . But I never see anyone really question Jeff Bezos like that, I never see anyone question Gregg Popovich like that, I never see anyone question Phil Jackson like that. But for some reason I guess it’s because the day and age that we’re in there is always people questioning Steve Kerr. I’m here to tell you again you’re back against the wall you don’t want another coach, he always know the right thing to do, he always know the right thing to say, he always know the right things to do and the right adjustments to make. Like, when you talk about the confidence that and the chemistry that Steph Curry and myself have in these situations. Large piece of that is we know the guy over there going to make all the right calls. So, we go into this situation knowing that we’re going to have a better gameplan than the opposing team, can we execute is up to us.” (Via The Draymond Green Show)

Draymond Green on if rivalries matter in trades or free agency in the NBA” “I’ll tell you, they mean something sometimes, but nothing when guys are trying to get their money because if that’s where you’re getting your money from, it is what it is. And these teams don’t really give a damn about players. Most of these teams. So, I’m not mad at players going to like, oh, the rival. Like, it ain’t college.” (Via The Draymond Green Show)

Draymond Green Calls out Stephen A Smith 😳 Draymond says Stephen A isn’t in the locker room like most journalists are to where the players have a chance to say something back to him on his takes. He struts downs the tunnel in pre game and guys don’t love him. So the only place they can say something is when he’s sitting courtside like LeBron did when he confronted him Journalism used to be where if somebody wrote/said something you didn’t like, you could speak about it in the locker room with that person and agree or disagree He says Stephen A has always wanted to be the ‘big dog’ and now that he is, people are going to say his name. And when Stephen A says he’s going to ‘do this and do that’ when responding to players that he won’t do actually do anything. Draymond also calls him out for starting the narrative about Kevin Durant being sensitive for responding to criticism but Stephen A does the same thing now days (Via The Draymond Green Show)

Draymond Green says it’s not a big deal that Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown didn’t hangout off the court much: “That sh*t don’t matter. We all have different lives…. Does not mean they didn’t like each other. It simply means we don’t carry the same interests off the basketball court. None of you people who sit and judge hangout with every colleague that you work with. Nick Saban was asked a question after practice once. His response was 70 seconds of gold on what it takes to be successful in life. Here’s Saban on the Illusion of Choice: “These guys, they all think they have this illusion of choice. Like I can do whatever I want to do. “You have a younger generation now that doesn’t always get told no. They don’t get told this is exactly how you need to do it. So they have this illusion that they have all these choices. “But the fact of the matter is, if you want to be good you don’t really have a lot of choices. It takes what it takes. You have to do what you have to do to be successful. “You have to make the choices and decisions to have the discipline and the focus to the process of what you need to do to accomplish your goals. “All these guys that think they have a lot of choices are sadly mistaken. As we all have done with our own children, they learn these lessons of life as they get older. “Sometimes the best way to learn is from the mistakes you make, even though we all hate to see them have to make them, and we don’t condone it when they do.” – I’ve studied Saban for 12+ years, and the Illusion of Choice is one of the most powerful concepts I’ve come across. Some key takeaways: 1. Excellence has a price. We can complain about that, but it’s a fact of life. 2. Most people don’t want to pay that price. They just haven’t admitted it to themselves. 3. Saying you want to be excellent is easy. Becoming excellent is hard. 4. There may not be one way to become great, but there are very few. And they all have discipline and consistency in common. 5. Every action we take is a choice. We’re choosing to make progress, or we’re not. 6. The formula for becoming successful: Your Daily Choices x Time. It’s simple, but we make it complicated. 7. Sometimes we learn more by making the wrong choices. Reflect on them, pull out the lessons and move on. 8. You have to choose what you do every day. Don’t follow your feelings. Choose to do what will make you better. 9. There are no long-term hacks. It takes what it takes. ||| Hope this is helpful. Follow me Teddy Mitrosilis for more writing. Draymond Green on Kevin Durant comments comparing the 2017 Warriors team with the upcoming Sixers team this season: “I think to understand this statement though, you always have to understand the way KD view basketball. And the way KD view basketball is very Uncle Drewish. This game will and always will be about buckets that’s how KD view the game. So when KD say, “Yo, they got four 25 point scorers, you have to understand in KD mind what that means.” So first off in order to understand Kevin’s statement, you have to understand his mindset and how he see the game and how he see the game. This game is about buckets. So when he mentioned, Yo, they got four 25 point scorers. Hell yeah, they’re going to be a contender. That’s how KD see the game. It’s going to be league pass worthy. Absolutely. But that is how KD see the game. So he’s going to mention to 25 point scorers. And I again I think everybody look at that and be like, “Oh man, that team is nothing like that team was like I don’t think he never said that.” (Via The Draymond Green Show)

🚨"THERE’S A QUESTION I STILL CAN’T GET AN ANSWER TO: WHAT WILL THESE SECURITY GUARANTEES ACTUALLY DO?" — Zelenskyy delivers a clear explanation of what’s wrong with the current negotiations. "There’s a question I still can’t get an answer to. Not because someone refuses. We just haven’t gotten there yet. The question of security guarantees. When you don’t have NATO, right? You have security guarantees like NATO. Some say maybe it’s even better? I don’t know. I won’t evaluate that. I’ll only evaluate one thing: what will the United States do if Russia comes with aggression again? What will these security guarantees do? How will it work? How will all partners work together? How exactly will they stop Moscow? Specifically. I think we need an answer to this. It doesn’t have to be public, but it should be in documents," - Zelenskyy said during a press conference at the European Council.

But to say to be competitive, you need to trade Jaylen Brown. Draymond Green on Victor Wembanyama campaigning for MVP: “You have to in today’s day in age. You can say Shai don’t have to say anything, Shai is the defending champ, he is the reigning MVP. And it’s Wemby task to go take it from Shai. And I know there’s been a lot of what I said about Wemby, and I know a lot of people are saying that I said Wemby should be the MVP. Number 1, I never said that. I actually think Shai is still the MVP and Wemby need a couple more spectacular games because you have to take it. You have to take it from the reigning MVP if he’s still at that level. And I don’t think he’s quite taking it yet. I agree with everything Wemby said but I think he need a couple more signature moments down the stretch as the voting rounds out, to take that MVP.” (Via The Draymond Green Show)

Asmongold explains why he thinks you should be able to get an abortion at any time, and compares it to the Second Amendment “My position is that you should be able to have an abortion at any time. Not because I like abortions, but because I don’t think the government can be fast enough at being able to distinguish when it’s a good or a bad decision. You can’t afford to have large scale bureaucracy involved with decisions that need to be made on a week to week basis.” “It’s the same as the Second Amendment. If we took away everybody’s guns, I guarantee you would have less homicides in America. But I don’t give a shit, because I want to have a gun. I want to be in America. So at a certain point, you have to understand that you absolutely do incur more risk and more collateral damage by allowing freedom. Freedom is not freedom from accountability. Oftentimes freedom is creating more accountability.” “I’m making a morally agnostic, completely pragmatic, utilitarian argument, and I understand a lot of people will not agree with it. But I don’t view anybody who disagrees with me on this as a bad person. I recognize that my opinion is extreme on this.”
