New stuff you can do in Spline v2: Building a TSL material with texture atlases was surprisingly easy > A little 2D samurai running around. I gave Claude a 2D sprite sheet of a and asked it to generate the atlases, and the agent in Spline took care of writing a shader that runs the loop at the right speed and binds it all to the keyboard. An old-school game with the advantages of 3D. Super promising. This is really just the basics here (an Idle and a Run state) but you can add jumps and build on it.

In Ananta, cars could have a gacha system. Just like some skins. Remember that everything is subject to change and this post is only informative. Recently, it was discovered that Ananta, the "non-gacha game," has gacha for outfit skins, but now it also has gacha for cars. At what point can something still be considered a non-gacha game when it actually has gachas? Well, I hope there will be more options, both F2P and paid, across the different systems. Obviously, the game has to sustain itself somehow, but calling it non-gacha? Luckily, all characters will be free, and that's actually really good. Need to find a new way to beat LBC so now I’m putting the Hole Player AMF as a SS to be more direct. It seems to work way better even when the game is laggy but I’ll keep looking into it to make it more optimized. Also debating between Xabi Alonso and Deschamps purely because of the Xabi link up. That link up is way too good not to have since it gives free goals every game. Maybe if my CBs all had second playstyles it’ll be a bit more defensively solid but so far so good for now.

We now have a system for marking strings as steppable. You can filter on this property, and it shows up as a tag on the cards. This info still needs to be added to a more moves, but Bob is an example where all moves should be marked correctly now.

Driving in Samson is stiff. These specific missions where you're tasked to destroy other cars are a pain in the butt to finish due to the input delay while driving. Driving straight forward is no issue, but as soon as there's a turn that you need to take or come to a stop. It feels like the car takes multiple seconds to respond, whenever that is by design or not, I don't like it. At first I suspected that this could be caused by frame-gen but I had it turned off from the beginning. There's also this damage boost mode while you're driving (reminds me of Franklin's driving focus in GTA V), you deal extra damage with a car but it didn't seem like it worked properly at all and also made the car even more difficult to control.

Woke up to severe rain before 5am this morning. Got a flash flood alert about 6:00. What is falling from the sky right now? It’s more than just water. It’s easy to see with the naked eye but trying to capture it on video is not easy. You might think everything is just a rain drop but these small particles aren’t falling like the rain is, more like floating to the ground. If it was winter I might assume it’s snow but it’s not. On this clip everything that looks like a line is rain. Watch the speed it falls and compare it to the small particles that are traveling much slower. Some of the small bits are flying sideways and up. That’s not rain.

This is my ideal tornado range. Sometimes ill move in closer, and sometimes ill hang farther back...but to me the sweet spot is when I am able to be OUTSIDE of the vehicle, still close range and feeling the elements. The tornado is close enough I can see the ground contact clearly while needing to look UP to see the top of it, really putting its size into perspective. Being outside of the vehicle when its close is a whole different feeling. You're more exposed to the power, and more humbled by it. Being inside the vehicle for me, even if I'm closer, lacks that connection.

I hesitate posting this for a bunch of reasons, but I think it's good to just be transparent about everything. I love to highlight all of the incredible things that FSD does, but I also think it's good to talk about any issues that it has currently. In my opinion the E2E on the highway needs some major changes. This clip was from my drive yesterday, and it is without a doubt the most dangerous situation that FSD has put me in. Yes, I am aware that it is FSD Supervised - everything that happens in the car is ultimately my responsbility. I just was wanting to see what the car would do, and I was hoping that it would make a better decision to be honest. Let me know what you think.
