The front tires then accelerate while they are pointed towards the agent, and appear to spin out on the ICE. This is all the information the ICE agent had in the moment. Also, there was no reason for her to back up to leave. The road was clear in front of her and the ICE agents were to the left and right of her car. 🚨BREAKING: An ICE agent POINTED A GUN at a U.S. citizen, through her car window, while threatening her, in Falls Church, Virginia. And the excuse? Because apparently the threat disappears when there’s a camera that can prove what actually happened. This is exactly why people need to DOCUMENT these encounters. Today, I conducted my weekly oversight of the ICE detention facility at 26 Federal Plaza. I was able to speak to a woman whose family visited our triage center after her detention, and was able bring a smile to her face when I gave her a drawing that her daughter made for her. ICE tried unsuccessfully to limit my oversight today and will likely keep trying, but I’ll keep showing up for immigrant families in NY-10 to make sure their conditions of detention are appropriate.
