During an enforcement operation yesterday, the Lagos State Environmental Taskforce team raided and arrested 20 peddlers at dark spots where illicit drugs are made available for sales and use in Gowon Estate. The locations includes; the notorious 31 Rd intersection, Wole Omo-Osho and Idoani streets, as well as the... Egbeda market area along Egbeda-Idimu road. The operation led to the complete removal of makeshift stalls located at the junction of Idoani street as discreet intelligence gathered showed that , they were being used as safe havens for the sales and use of illicit drugs by criminal elements who come from near and far. During the operation, various illicit substances were recovered including cash proceeds from the illegal activities.
