CBC insider EXPOSES ‘bias’ and ‘intimidation’ at network Former CBC Host Travis Dhanraj provided blistering testimony in the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage today, including allegations of bullying, intimidation, and a freeze-out of conservative voices. In his testimony, Dhanraj stated he and other CBC employees were provided a list of 45 people they were instructed not to speak with, including reporters. Imagine my surprise while watching Travis Dhanraj's testimony, covering the hearing for Rebel News, when my very own name came up! During a conversation about me and the Freedom Convoy where Mr. Dhanraj told Mr. Cochrane, "I think she has a couple of last names," David quipped back, "People who live in trailers usually do." Ironically, it was mere weeks ago when David Cochrane, offended by a photo I posted to my X account of him which he found "unflattering." He raised a complaint with CPC media personnel on grounds of media courtesy. I ended up removing my post out of said courtesy, but couldn't help but wonder if he would do the same for me. Let's face it, the CBC aren't searching out glamour shots of myself or any convoy people. Even worse is the obvious disdain from a certain Ottawa bubble for working-class Canadians, who pay their salaries, by insinuating that if you don't work at CBC Headquarters, on Parliament Hill, or aren't on the government dole, then you're dismissed as invaluable — the type of dwelling you live in determines your place in society. This is the least shocking of the information presented at the committee hearings today, as panelists, including Dhanraj, laid out several issues with the current media landscape in Canada. From biases to smaller, local publications being squeezed out of the market, leaving many communities feeling that they don't have a voice. Judge takes aim at Rebel News and Ezra Levant during Tamara Lich hearing The hearing over Tamara Lich 🇨🇦's request to vary her conditional sentence conditions was more about Rebel News and Ezra Levant 🍁🚛's political opinions than Lich's sentence, reports Alexa Lavoie. One of the most striking moments came when Justice Heather Perkins-McVey declared that Ezra Levant had hired Lich solely for the purpose of getting her out of her house, adding that Ezra holds very strong views of the justice system, of herself and of the trial process, which he has made very clear in Rebel News' video reports. Justice Perkins-McVey reiterated this multiple times, stating that Rebel News has, in many ways, made a mockery of the conditional sentence. She also mentioned the roughly 40 items of Tamara Lich merchandise, specifically one showing Lich with duct tape over her mouth. The judge said the merchandise suggested Rebel News was using Lich's employment to promote and monetize her house arrest, with the duct tape symbolizing Ezra Levant's view that the conditional sentence was intended to keep her quiet. Lawrence Greenspon, counsel for Tamara Lich, pushed back, saying he had never seen a case in which the political or journalistic views of an employer were considered a reason to doubt compliance with a conditional sentence. Greenspon repeatedly stressed that Lich has complied with the conditions. She has already spent nine months under the conditional sentence, completed her 100 hours of community service and received approval for interprovincial travel for work on 13 separate occasions. On Saturday, I was invited to the official residence of the American ambassador to Canada to celebrate 250 years of American independence. What a change from how I was treated in Ottawa during the trucker convoy — arrested, jailed and prosecuted just for peacefully protesting against the Liberal government. None of it would have happened without you. I'm still under house arrest. The only way I’m allowed to travel is to clear every trip in advance with my probation officer. But because Rebel News hired me as a journalist and community ambassador — something your donations to The Tamara Project made possible — I was granted a work exemption to attend the 250th Independence Day celebrations in Ottawa alongside the other Rebels. I even had a few minutes to speak with the ambassador himself, and to thank him personally for the support he and so many Americans showed during the Freedom Convoy. Getting out of the house, standing among people who genuinely believe in freedom, and pushing back a little against the craziness we're all living through, reminded me why I keep doing this, restrictions and all. Rihanna faced backlash from fans, especially women, after she was seen grinding on her boyfriend in a club in Barbados while five months pregnant. It seems plenty of people at the event were aware of the incident and Brown’s behaviour during the evening except the host Graham Wall, who is now on record as saying "If anything had happened around here, I would have known. You can't fart around here without everyone knowing, it's a small [venue]," he said. Coincidentally, Wall was a member of the Mayor’s campaign team in the last election.
